Sounds like Calhoun is demanding lucrative offer plus lucrative NIL or he wonโ€™t take it. A job that just opened up has a ton of NIL is Creighton. Iโ€™m sure Creighton will offer him too and itโ€™s a better fit.

โ€œCincinnati is working to hire Utah Stateโ€™s Jerrod Calhoun as its next head coach, sources tell On3. The former Bearcats student assistant under Bob Huggins has emerged as the leading target over the last week.โ€ Nothing new so far, but I will say, Calhoun has ALL the leverage. Cincy needs Calhoun A LOT more than Calhoun needs Cincy.

Utah State has nothing to be ashamed of. Incredible team led by an incredible coach. Will be rooting for the Aggies next season. Hopefully they can keep their momentum as a program. Jerrod Calhoun, we hope to see you soon.

If Utah State beats Arizona today Iโ€™ll do whatever the most liked comment says (within reason) (no burritos)

Calhoun is going to be great walking the sidelines at UC. Offense is great. Lots of ball/body movement and paint touches. And he gets the history of the program and understands that the UC vs x is a rivalry and not just another game.

When BYU and UNC met in an exhibition game we thought that might be a Final Four preview not a double first round exit 6/11 situation. Bummer.

@quirky801 90% of BYU staff worked in the NBA, he went there to get ready for the NBA not win a ring. Everyone knew he was a guaranteed top 3 pick before college, the 4-7 mill ppl say they paid him is nothing to what a top 3 pick will makeโ€ฆ

@quirky801 Itโ€™s about development guys, look at all the players BYU is putting in the NBA. When you get the chance to follow in the footsteps of Egor Demin, you gotta take it

Did they pay him a lot? Yes. Hiring Kevin Young who has legitimate NBA experience was also a very legitimate factor in his decision. He was the leagues highest paid assistant in Phoenix and seen as a strong future HC candidate with a great reputation in basketball circles. Was widely reported when he signed that his pro experience and its angle on AJโ€™s development was a huge selling point on his decision. He also played his senior year of prep in Utah which gave them an advantage
