Instead of treating Andrew Burnham as a new messiah or slagging him off as no doubt the likes of Carole Malone and Allison Pearson will do 30 minutes before he enters number 10, I will wait and see how effective he is.

@Mutteroo Apparently my vocal chords were very thin so couldn’t guarantee result (ex heavy smoker and age) so results were not as good as hoped for but still within range, I’m sure your daughter will be fine she’s in brilliant hands

Since Andy Burnham's speech yesterday, I have seen him variously described as socialist, centrist, communist, neoliberal and Blairite. Is he trying to play to too many people? I am wildly sceptical [my default setting about everything to be fair] about this entire project but live in hope that I'll be proved wrong. My new favourite phrase, 'populist centrist', may not be needed and can be filed away again, with any luck. There is a growing sense of optimism from a great many disillusioned Labour voters which is hugely needed at this time, but Starmer was far more liked than the media would allow you to know. The PLP may have wanted a change of direction, but already the knives are out. How long does Burnhamism/Manchesterism have in real terms, with our frenetic media already starting to prod and probe? I'll retreat to my optimistically sceptical corner and watch with interest. Have a lovely weekend. 😊

@Mutteroo Same as when I had mine done, Mr Chadwan Al Yaghch was my surgeon, very simple procedure no pain at all; I found the first week easy but couldn’t do the six weeks I was speaking normally far too soon!

This is why disability rights movements also need to stand against fatphobia.

@AliArthPainter Being fat is not a disability. It is always a diet issue and solvable with simple lifestyle changes. Nobody should receive any benefits due to it.

@GBNEWS Obese people should not receive the mobility component for PIP. They should be made to walk to lose weight. They should be given 12 months notice to lose weight before their benefits are stopped and they must start work.
