Ministry of Natural Resources and Climate Change through Department of Fisheries is stocking fish in 100 small water bodies to improve availability of fish in Malawi's water bodies starting with about 200,000 Tilapia fingerings stocked in Linga Dam in Nkhata Bay, northern region.

As 2023/24 National Forestry Season gathers momentum, stakeholders including the private sector, government departments, non governmental organisations and community members are collaborating with Department of Forestry and engage in tree planting activities across the country.

It is National Forestry season in Malawi. The season runs annually from 15th December to 15th April the following year. President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera launched the 2023/24 National Forestry season on 18th January in Phalombe district in the southern region of the country.
