@THEAnimeHERO Bandai-Namco is a more popular publisher and popular producer of Tekken than SNK is in the West. SNK only is popular in Central and South America compared to other fighting game publishers, almost like HNK is massively popular in Japan

I'ma tell you the truth brother: Marathon has to survive by finding an audience outside of the Destiny community. They just don't like the genre of game it is. Shame, because OG Marathon is responsible for damn near every Bungie game since the 90s

@N1nja_Stranded i think the problem is that extraction shooters are like 1/3 of a video game if you're coming from the generation of bungie where this genre basically amounts to a singular private server in a server browser compared to having a full campaign, multiple modes and servers

@GigiNewbie That's the part I hate and makes me feel a type of way towards Destiny fans. I can only imagine the amount of hours and friends made on the way, but they're acting like heroin addicts with how the game isn't getting new content and pouring that frustration on Marathon isn't it

I second this. A campaign would move mountains for Marathon. There is "lore" but it's extremely subtle. Almost non-existent if you don't watch YouTube commentaries decoding stuff from in-game. It'd be nice to have a campaign man. And second thing I want is a player hub where we can trade and meet other players.

@PigeonGoGaming Extraction shooters are not the future, too much of a harsh learning curve. Bungie really needs to think about adding a campaign and or traditional pvp multiplayer

I hope the Destiny community can really take audit of how fantastic of a ride that entire experience was, both highs and lows. It is rare these days to have a game like that last as long as it did. LOTS of people came together to make Destiny what it was and that should be applauded. I also hope that folks look at this as an opportunity to embrace what they are doing now. Teams need fresh projects to work on to keep those creative juices flowing and we’ve already seen how fantastic the world of Marathon is.
