Well this has dragged a little. Arrived at 22:20 and the ferry doesn’t sail until 01:30. I appear to be the sole foot passenger this evening. Hoping to be able to board soon!

Three former @northernassist Cl.153s stored at Long Marston have been disposed of by @PorterbrookRail. The single-car DMUs, 153317/324/359, arrived at Sims at Newport Docks earlier this month.

@sean_387 But isn't one of the joys of travelling by train the view from both sides of the train. Imagine travelling on this on the Settle-Carlisle and only being able to see half of it.

Firstly with something like this obviously it's subjective nitpicking. I didn't find the seat as comfortable as others, the finishings are a bit cheap with some faults present, it was hard to manually adjust the seat, and perhaps it was a bit claustrophobic? But how stunning.

And here's business class on the CR400BF-Z, the newest type offered - a layout similar to staggered suites on a plane, including privacy doors. It is almost certainly the most visually brilliant interior I've ever seen. Maybe not the most comfortable though... A thread: #387CN23

@jerryalderson @every_station Same in Ireland, your change at the checkout is rounded up or down to the nearest 5c, so although prices are still exact e.g milk €1.53 you'd effectively pay €1.55.

@every_station In Belgium since January 2020, I think, change has bern given to the nearest five cent. The one and two cent coins are not given out to customers. I believe that some Euro countries (Finland, I think) have never used the one and two cent coins since the Euro was introduced 2002.

@paul_winginit My tip...book online, the pay on the day queue when I went was long and I'm certain that quite a number would have been turned away. Travel in the loco, it's half wooden seats and half "1st class" leather chairs/sofas. And ride the verandah on the tram.

@RPMarks Those rises in the floor level caught me out, the seats would be more comfortable made of wood, and what's with the screens showing internal cctv feed? Other than that I liked them!

First impressions of the 777. Nice, solid build quality. Level boarding great but variable internal floor height is the compromise. Seats fine for the journey times. Ride quality good. Variable saloon lighting for open/tunnel sections annoying and unnecessary. Overall a big👍

Turn this crap off before April 23rd. Settings>Notifications extreme alerts at the bottom turn them both off. Then you will have no annoying alarm.
