Minecraft was the greatest CS education ever made. And nobody planned it that way. At 12 I was obsessed. Wanted my own servers. So I learned Bukkit, Java plugins, basic networking, Linux deployment. Built worlds that only exist in my mind but still feel completely real. I broke wifi routers and fixed them. Broke Windows configs and fixed them. Tinkering, breaking stuff, and fixing it later is how we learn stuff best when we are kids. What is the Minecraft for the new generation?

you are currently witnessing the collapse of visual scarcity as an economic category. think about what expensive visual production actually was in the past... it was a tax on the translation between imagination & perception. every ad campaign, every film, every architectural rendering, & every product mockup was fundamentally an arbitrage on the difficulty of making pics. that entire extractive layer is just evaporating right now. crazy cuz humans have ~fixed visual processing bandwidth but we're about to face essentially infinite visual supply. this might be the obesity crisis but for images. our visual appetites evolved in conditions of scarcity & now we're getting high fructose corn syrup for the eyes. nobody has a good model for what this does to aesthetic sensibility long term. language has always been a lossy compression of experience. the reason lawyers & bureaucrats & writers had power was because they could operate in that compressed medium fluently. if you can just show things instead of describing them, that's a massive redistribution of communicative power away from the verbally gifted toward... idk, ppl with good taste? good spatial reasoning? it's unclear who wins but it's definitely not the same ppl who won before.

Between Gemini 3.1 and Claude 4.6 it's honestly wild what you can build. This feels like Google Earth and Palantir had a baby. Made this with all the geospatial bells and whistles -- real time plane & satellite tracking, real traffic cams in Austin, and even got a traffic system working. Panoptic detection on everything. Skinned the whole thing to look like a classified intelligence system. EO, FLIR, CRT. Got a bunch more stuff on the roadmap. This is fun.

Absolutely amazing! What is under Giza, is also under Cusco. While most of humanity remains ignorant of the importance of this work, I am overwhelmed with excitement for the quantum leap in human consciousness that is fast approaching. We're about to start opening all the record halls at once, and they will all be telling the same story, from every continent. We're about to recover the truth of our own origins. We will finally remember where we came from.

I can’t believe I played Hytale for 9 hours straight yesterday 🤣 I’m absolutely shattered today 😅 I ended up going to bed at 7am and had 3 hour sleep before I had a meeting I had to go to. The games great for a $20 game btw, the music is absolutely 10/10 and I’m not joking. The immersion it gives you is the best out of a game I’ve played in a LONG time! Proper Skyrim Vibes!
