Palestinian activist Odeh Hathaleen was killed defending his community’s land. US Labor leader Chris Smalls was arrested and detained on an international aid mission to Gaza. Smalls was part of a delegation attempting to bring food, baby formula, diapers and medicine to people in Gaza. Eventually, he was released. Different people. Different places, but what they had in common was that they were punished for their beliefs. We are a union that believes in solidarity across borders. We won’t stay quiet while others are being silenced.

Families in Gaza are going days without food while trucks full of aid are blocked. This isn’t a natural disaster. It’s a man-made catastrophe. Food, water, and medicine are being kept from families in Gaza. As union members—and human beings—we refuse to look away. We demand: - Immediate humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza - An end to all hostilities - Release of all of the hostages and of Palestinian prisoners being held without due process - An end to taxpayer dollars funding attacks on civilians in Gaza - Statehood and self-determination for Palestinians and a just and lasting peace for all in the region This crisis is the result of choices. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Born and raised in LA County, David Huerta is a champion for justice and a good neighbor. Today, while advocating for his community during an ICE raid, he was injured and arrested. These raids are dangerous for our families and communities. They are unjust and must end.

VICTORY for Fairfax County employees! 🎉🎉 Woohoo!!! We won our union election and earned the right to be at the decision-making table with the County. This is the largest public sector organizing victory among general government workers in Virginia's history. We can now look forward to negotiating a contract to lock in our wins and making sure we’re ALL respected, protected and paid.
