🚨𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻🚨 🔷️ A clandestine lab manufacturing Alprazolam was busted in Moula Ali, Hyderabad on 20.04.2026. ➡️ 69.600 kg Alprazolam seized (₹17.40 crore). ➡️ Around 12 k liters chemicals worth ₹20 lakh also recovered. ➡️ A functional pharma unit hired by the syndicate for the illicit manufacturing of alprazolam. ➡️ Just 1 gram Alprazolam is required for mixing in 15 litres of toddy for making it more potent, though with serious health risks. 👤 Chemist and mastermind with 15+ years R&D experience arrested. 🚨𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗽𝘂𝗿🚨 🔷️ NCB, in collaboration with Assam Rifles & Manipur Police, seized 474 soap cases of heroin worth Rs 11 crore in illicit drug market Churachandpur, Manipur on the night intervening 23 April & 24 April 2026. 🔷️ Contraband was concealed in fabricated cavity made in Mahindra Camper Bolero and 3 drug traffickers, all residents of Churachandpur district, who obtained it from Myanmar & were arrested with the contraband weighing about 5.4 kgs. 🔷️ Further investigation is underway to ascertain backward & forward linkages to dismantle the larger drug trafficking network operating in this region. 🔷️ NCB has intensified operations in Manipur owing to its vulnerability to cross-border drug trafficking. Citizens are urged to share narcotics-related information through the MANAS Helpline- 1933. 🤝 Quarterly State-Level JCC meeting for the State of Assam was convened by NCB at Police HQ, Guwahati to strengthen coordination in narco intelligence & enforcement. 🔷️Chaired by DDG, NCB (NE Region), the meeting saw participation from officers of NIA, ED, Customs, DRI, Income Tax, BSF, CRPF, SSB & Drug Controller along with ANTF Assam, SIB & SPs of sensitive districts of the state. 🔷 The meeting focused on referral of terror & hawala-linked drug cases to NIA/ED, strengthening financial investigations, initiating PIT NDPS action against habitual offenders, leveraging NIDAAN/NATGRID for data-driven enforcement & promoting multi-agency investigation of complex NDPS cases. 🔷 A detailed overview of the drug scenario in Assam was presented, including recovery of contraband over the NF Railway network.
