@Dl5Gac @flo_0_ @GridMasterHeat Hi Robert, I just looked at our sailing chart and see that we should be close to the FL08 / FL18 line at pass time. Hopefully either one will be new for you!

I'll try the following RS-44 passes looking for EU (but everyone else is invited to play!). I won't know my grid until pass time. 11/0404Z 11/1635Z 12/0426Z 13/0256Z 13/1534Z (maybe) 14/0317Z 14/1556Z (maybe) #amsat @GridMasterHeat

EL84 on on the next FO-29 pass at 11/2228Z as well as XW-2C at 11/2329Z. There are only a couple hits on XW-2C recently on the AMSAT Status page, but I'll give it a go anyway. #amsat @GridMasterHeat

We should be in EL39 for AO-91 @ 04/1653Z and JO-97 @ 04/1705Z as we head into port. Both are fairly low passes for me and will be somewhat obstructed by the ship's structure, but I'll try anyway. #amsat @The_Grid_Life

@VE6UM It didn't help that the bird's descent took it in front of the bridge of the ship which cost us the last 10 or so degrees from my QTH. Got several "twofers" though.

@ND9M Wow, Qsos took too long on such a difficult bird. only a 4 minute window of opportunity for me so far north and the drift was crazy.

We're now supposed to start moving toward port mid evening tonight to put us in port in EM20 tomorrow midday for a few days. I'll be on JO-97 at 04/0345Z but don't know if we'll be EL38 by then or still EL37. If AO-7 is still in Mode B, CW at 03/2258Z. #amsat @The_Grid_Life

Delays at our port in EM20 are continuing, so we're still hanging back in EL37. There's no word yet on when we'll be able to go in; maybe tomorrow, maybe not. Meanwhile, AO-7 appears to still be in Mode B, so I'll try CW on the 03/2259Z pass around 145.955. #amsat @The_Grid_Life

We're on GMT-5 now, so RS-44 and CAS-4B passes don't fit well with my work schedule, and EO-88 seems to be drifting faster. Today, I'll try FO-29 @ 02/2200Z & 02/2347Z, and JO-97 @ 03/0344Z. #amsat @The_Grid_Life

We're still sitting in EL37 and will be likely for another 24 hours or so before turning NNW to head into port in EM20. Once we start moving, we should go into EL38 and probably EL39.

@2m0sql The hardest times were in the North and Baltic Seas when winds were >40 km/h. I used RIT to copy manual tune ops; gloves didn't allow me to work the control, so I had to bare hand it like that in the JO and KO grid fields. Often, I asked myself "what part of this is fun again?"

@ND9M Gotta say that's a nice spot Jim, although based on your comments over the weeks perhaps a little exposed 😉

Patrick WD9EWK has his HOF trash can station. This is my home-away-from-home-away-from-home, the back of the ship, where I've been setting up nearly every day for the last four months of /MM operating; this is from this morning's AO-91 pass.

@2m0sql Definitely a little exposed as you put it Peter. The deck I operate from is about 30M above the water line which obviously gives me a clear shot in most directions; passes below 15 degrees straight forward or back are obstructed by ship structures.

@glasbrenner Sure, direct should be no problem outside of work hours. The 9700 is easily the best sat rig I've used; along with the CSN controller, they're game changers for me. No, I'm not a paid spokesman, and no, I don't play one on TV.

@ND9M I didn’t realize you had a 9700 out there. We should try some direct qsos

Lots of Qs from EL84 today. But is it me or is EO-88 taking off like a rocket so to speak; its drift seems more like a slingshot lately maxing out the 10 kc RIT, similar to what I see with XW-2A. Peddling onward into EL74, EL75, and EL65 tomorrow., 3/31. #amsat @The_Grid_Life

@_VA7LM @31 Glad to do it! All shipboard Qs will go in as ND9M/MM. Two more passes tonight (EO-88 @ 31/0322Z & JO-97 @ 31/0340Z) before we cross out of EL84. But more wet grids after that enroute to EM20. #amsat @The_ Grid_Life
