This year also feels extraordinary for the Jewish and Assyrian communities of faith, as for the first time since 33 A.D., the Pesach Seder (Passover Dinner), which corresponds to the Last Supper in Catholic traditions, fell on the exact same day (Wednesday evening). 2026 marks the first such occurrence in the modern era under the calendars of both faiths, given there have been no instances of the full triple alignment (full moon + Pesach/15 Nisan beginning at sunset + Holy Thursday in the earlier Catholic sunset reckoning) on a Wednesday night since 33 A.D.

"The Assyrian New Year, also known as Kha b-Nisan, is celebrated on April 1st. This festival marks the beginning of the year in the Assyrian calendar and is deeply rooted in ancient Mesopotamian traditions. Kha b-Nisan is a vibrant celebration that honors Assyrian heritage and the arrival of spring, fostering community spirit and cultural pride among Assyrians worldwide."

Evangelicals are partly to blame for the collapse of Middle Eastern Christianity. They are the biggest supporter of wars which destroy Christians. But it goes way deeper than that. They view Christians like Assyrians in Iraq as a pawn to expand their footprint as "authentic" Christians. They can be so brazen that they even set up local organizations & try to convert *Apostolic Christians* to *their* brand of American Christianity. Imagine destroying an Apostolic, Aramaic speaking Christian community which is 2000 years old. Then setting up an NGO to convert them to Megachurch Protestantism through bribery & handouts. Isn't that insane?

nec-se.com/.../11/miracle… Excerpts from NEC-SE 2015 article: "As in the biblical story of Moses and the Hebrews crossing the Red Sea, when the water first parted and then closed behind them, ISIS experienced a similar “miracle” during their attacks on the Assyrian villages in the Khabur River Valley. However this time the source of the miracle was not God but a Turkish dam. The dam in Turkey mysteriously opened prior to ISIS attacking, allowing ISIS forces to solidify their flanks by using the resulting torrent to split Assyrian military forces between the two sides of the river. The raging river waters also trapped the remaining Christians civilians who had nowhere to flee but into the river or into the ISIS fortified positions in the west. The raging river waters also trapped the remaining Christian civilians who had nowhere to flee but into the river or into the ISIS fortified positions in the west. The opening of the dam gave ISIS time to clear the Assyrian Christian villages, which lie on the west side of the Khabur River. After those clearing operations were completed with multiple Assyrian Christian casualties and scores of women being carried off by ISIS for their harams, a second “miracle” happened when the dam “mysteriously” closed, shutting off the flow of water into the Khabur River and thus allowing ISIS forces to cross the river and begin clearing the eastern side."

The Rogation of the Ninevites, known as the Ba'utha or the fast of Nineveh, is a three-day fast commemorating the Ninevites' repentance at the prophet Jonah's hands. The no water no food fast is observed by all who can medically observe it for three days, and started on January 26, and will be broken by taking the communion on the final day of the fast.

americaoutloud.news/no-good-choice… The protests in Iran are real and righteous. The danger is not just the regime’s bullets. The danger is that foreign players repeatedly step in and claim ownership of those uprisings. When outside actors loudly embrace a movement, the regime uses that claim as justification to hunt its own citizens. A protest that seeks independence loses its voice when it is turned into a script for others. There is no easy exit from this trap. Iran is not a single narrative. Kurds, Arabs, Turks, Persians, leftists, monarchists, moneyed factions, and armed units all push their own vision. Whoever holds the guns will have a seat at the table. There is no clear, uncontested leader to replace the clerical state.
