People like the idea of solar farms in the abstract, but hundreds of communities around the world are currently fighting them because they require 300-600x more land than other energy sources, produce 300x more toxic waste, and devastate critical wildlife habitats.

@wpri_feed It would be nice if the bike path was actually completed. Still waiting in Northern Rhode Island to have the bike path completed so that we can connect into Massachusetts. We have been waiting for years! Repairs come before completion?

@TedNesi There were a few representatives that voted against the tolls for various reasons - some lost their committee positions or even removed from certain committees. Their was a clause added to the bill that passenger cars can NOT be tolled.

UPDATE: RI currently has 12 truck toll locations up and running - they generated $39.8 million in revenue from 10.3 million transactions during the 2021-22 fiscal year
Now Judge Smith has ordered all 12 tolls to cease collections within 48 hours: wpri.com/news/politics-…

I agree with this. In factI believe it should be 3 days. Saturday, Sunday and the Monday before the election.

When someone disagrees with the far left, that equals hate. However, when the far left disagrees with anyone, that’s righteous. Freedom of speech means freedom of expression not freedom from expression. You cannot stop people from saying things you don’t like, not in America.

Very tough night for the Coop. In 28 races they absorbed 25 losses. Statewide candidates couldn’t break 10% for Governor and 20% for Lt Gov. Assembly candidates only muster 35% on average over 24 races. Council candidates lose badly. Beginning of the end?

I knocked a door of a couple I previously canvassed, when confirming I could count on their vote he said "Bob has been in office for 11 years, you've been running your campaign for 11 weeks? You have done more to support my family than he has. You definitely have our votes."
