Aaron Nola will end today with an ERA over 6.00 in 23 starts since the beginning of last season. The Phillies will be 8-15 in those starts, barring a huge comeback today.

If Topper is fired, the interim manager is probably going to be Dusty Wathan. There’s a world where it could be Cotham, presuming Long would also be relieved of his duties, but Dusty is likely first in line.
Mattingly was pretty clear about not managing and it would also create a conflict of interest situation considering Preston Mattingly works in the front office

For those calling for Rob Thomson to be fired, Don Mattingly said in his introductory presser he doesn't have aspirations to manage again. Citing the amount of energy and toll it takes on the person in that role. Minds can change, of course, but he didn't seem to be very much interested when he was hired. #Phillies
