I just looked up the general rate of myocarditis in children and it matches the above, so could be a lot more noise here than any signal.

So what’s the plan in Miami? Every decision seems to be around tanking but then signing Willis would indicate trying to win. I just think you’re either all in on the tank or try to win. Being in the middle never makes much sense to me.

@DMacWake316 @tejfbanalytics Not similar in anyway actually. Darnold was unwatchable for half a season , played for an all time coaching staff on a great roster. Josh is a top 5-7 qb all time.

@tejfbanalytics I think the biggest thing people miss with the “Sam Darnold jump” is that he was a really really good QB prospect with talent out of USC to begin with (biased to my own eval)

it can happen as we’ve seen darnold, baker mayfield and daniel jones all be first round picks who had success in new environments. however, there’s a reason there’s one name attached to it and it’s not called something like “the year five surge”

@cajun_vegas not at all. obviously how often you expect them to hold depends on your assumptions on the players and your assumptions about the conditions etc. those could easily be wrong but certainly accounting for that lol.
