When systems meant to protect survivors break their word, we must stand up. This isn’t just about dollars — it’s about dignity, justice & accountability. @GovWesMoore, what happened to “leave no one behind”?

Baltimore, it’s Election Day! We ran a campaign that never went low. We showed up in every single neighborhood. We built a massive coalition of every race and religion. I love this city. I hope to have the honor of serving as your next Council President. Let’s win this together.

We’re under 80 days until the primary. @Zeke_Cohen hasn’t let up! The endorsements keep coming in, and voters are saying his name - from the east side to the west of Bmore. @CMZekeCohen has the momentum! Can’t wait to see what he brings to the role of Council President. Congrats!
Zeke Cohen@Zeke_Cohen

I am incredibly proud to announce that the Metro Baltimore @AFLCIO has endorsed our campaign for City Council President! They represent over 100 local unions and 80,000 workers in the Baltimore area. I stood on the picket line and fought to help hotel workers unionize the Marriott. I demanded a pay raise and healthcare for sanitation workers during the pandemic. And we won. Baltimore deserves an unwavering fighter for working families. Let's win this together!

Councilman @Zeke_Cohen isn’t taking one moment for granted on his way to being the city’s next Council President. Congratulations on another big endorsement, and keep up the hard work!!
Zeke Cohen@Zeke_Cohen

I am incredibly honored to have the endorsement of my friend @RobbynLewis46th Robbyn is someone I have looked up to and admired for years. Her commitment to justice, service, public transportation and community development are unparalleled. Let’s win this together! “Zeke has been my City Councilman and friend for nearly the last decade. We share a deep love for Baltimore. Throughout that time I’ve watched him build great teams and deliver world-class service to our shared constituents. When Zeke sees injustice, he brings people together to correct it. Last summer when we found out that Rec and Park would be unable to open Patterson Park Pool, Zeke led the charge to build a community splash pad instead. We partnered with non-profits, local businesses, community associations and neighbors to create the Patterson Park Pop-Up Splash Pad. As a result, thousands of kids were able to cool down in the hottest summer on record. That is the type of leadership that Zeke will bring to the entire city of Baltimore, and that is why I enthusiastically endorse him to be our next City Council President!”

Don’t be modest @Zeke_Cohen!! This is a massive endorsement. Trades built this city, and remain the backbone. My ask, as you move toward a win: Remember it’s not only about building a pipeline of a skilled labor force but also making sure there are enough union jobs in Baltimore.
Zeke Cohen@Zeke_Cohen

🚨 Major Endorsement 🚨 28 unions from the Baltimore Metro Building Trades endorse our campaign for City Council President! Working people deserve a champion in City Hall. I will fight to make sure all Baltimoreans benefit from economic development. We will rebuild our city together.

As Council President, Cohen has committed championing labor and business… like BMore has never seen. Why? Our city deserves a strong base of flourishing and ethical businesses that ensures residents earn a living wage, thrive, and live a life they envision for themselves.
Zeke Cohen@Zeke_Cohen

We are building the most diverse, dynamic coalition our city has every seen. I stand with students, elders, educators, unions, non profits, hospitality workers, business owners, and Bill Henry. Baltimore deserves better. Let’s go!

I’ve always known @Zeke_Cohen to be a thoughtful and innovative problem solver. While it’s not a surprise that he was named Legislator of the Year by @BaltFamilies… Councilman Cohen, you deserve all the congrats, and well earned respect! Keep up the good work. We need you!!
Zeke Cohen@Zeke_Cohen

Honored to have been named Legislator of the Year by @BaltFamilies We were told that summer school couldn’t be open 5 days per week. So we created Field Trip Friday’s and over 700 kids visited a great Baltimore cultural institution. We were told that the pool at Patterson Park was closed and there was nothing we could do. So we built a splash pad with community so families could cool down. We were told that our elders felt disrespected by City Government so we created a cabinet-level Office of Aging. If we want to keep families in Baltimore, we need to solve basic, quality of life problems. I am grateful to the Family Alliance for their advocacy and Mazel tov to my co-honoree @odetteramos

1st of many labor endorsements for City Council President candidate, @Zeke_Cohen. Cohen has repeatedly shown collaboration w/many passionate and mission oriented groups across the City. This quality and leadership are needed to help heal the divide of Bmore. Well done, CM Cohen!
Zeke Cohen@Zeke_Cohen

Major Endorsement 🚨 @UHLocal7 representing Baltimore’s hotel, food service and gaming workers endorses our campaign for City Council President! This is the 1st labor endorsement of the 2024 campaign cycle. Baltimore deserves a Council President who stands with working people.

Baltimore needs leadership that works together — building bridges — rather than pointing fingers and deflecting responsibility. Thrilled that @BillforBmore is behind at @Zeke_Cohen for City Council President early… for a better Baltimore! The next election cycle is on!
Zeke Cohen@Zeke_Cohen

I am Incredibly honored to announce that @BillforBmore has endorsed our campaign for City Council President! Baltimore deserves leaders that build bridges and bring people together to solve problems instead of tearing us apart. Bill is that leader. youtu.be/i-Jo0MGB7S4

Grateful to have a @BaltimoreSAO that understands change can’t happen in silence or in silos. Thanks SA @ivanjbates for showing up for individuals who have been victimized and doing your part to change the “it’s just the way it is” mentality.

@JHLibby @MayorBowser Cairns turned her head away from protecting DC’s most vulnerable youth for years while at DHS. She was ineffective of managing her staff to the detriment of the youth. Can’t help but speculate that there is something bigger and it’s just taken this long to catch up to her.

@NGUYNES @MayorBowser In which case, Cairns' supporters had a low bar of expectations. Her firing wasn't in the style of an administration ready to address those shortcomings publicly. (To be clear, both can be true.) I wonder who will be installed there on a permanent basis.

Thirty-three years ago this day, I woke with an axe-in-my-forehead hangover, and though I’d been struggling two years to stop drinking—in and out—I haven’t had a drink since. Thanks to all the outlaws and topless dancers who’ve hauled me struggling into the light. #Sober
