@cybergibbons I was told today by a manager in the @TheAA_UK vehicle inspection team that they are unable/unwilling to run EV battery diagnostics because of risk of giving the vehicle a virus. Is this really a thing??

I was lucky enough to visit the Nation Grid control room yesterday. A truly amazing team of really lovely folks doing a critically important job behind the scenes. I was there in 2012, coal produced 44% of our electricity that day. Yesterday, 0%. We plan to shoot an update soon

I bought a speaker on eBay for our bathroom ceiling. It is going to take over half the ceiling. Note to self: check sizes before impulsive bidding.

Now bi-wired. Decided I didn’t need terminal blocks and soldered it straight to the speaker terminals. Goodbye warranty.

New speaker has separate woofer and tweeter but no crossover. I am going to bi-wire it into IKEA Symfonisk circuit board

@peter_boring @MATatBucks I have never understood the purpose of postal counties - presumably they were to disambiguate places with the same or similar names. But isn’t that what post codes are for?

@njh @MATatBucks The "postal county" appears to have existed until 1996, so from '65-'96 it would have been proper to include Middx or Middlesex on a letter.
