The backlash to the clips was swift and widespread, with many Americans demanding to know why their tax dollars are being used for a partisan military stunt involving such a repulsive celebrity. This is the same Republican Party that refuses to fund healthcare, child care, or basic social services. There's no money to make your life even a little bit easier, but there's money to burn through helicopter fuel for Kid Rock.
