Proud to be Chair of the Best Department of Surgery. The University of Maryland performed the first successful pig to human heart transplant on Friday. The patient is doing well, and it’s truly amazing to be part of this type of innovation. Congrats to all on the team!

@NKalveRx I use this for teaching as well! Note albuterol requires big doses to have an effect and is fairly transient and data is limited for HCO3 pushes (some old data suggests the hypertonic Na might be beneficial for cardiac stabilization)

Patient with HYPERkalemia? We want to C-A-BIG-K-Drop! ➡️Calcium = stabilizer ➡️Albuterol nebulizer = shifter ➡️Bicarbonate = shifter ➡️Insulin + Glucose = shifter ➡️K-binder (Lokelma) = elimination ➡️Diuretic/Dialysis = elimination Awesome pneumonic my preceptor taught me!

Found out I passed MPJE yesterday, then checked RI BOP today to see my pharmacist license is officially active. Got ACLS certified today at work✅ Reunited with my parents and corgi Things are going amazingly well today🥺🤩 Hope yall are also having a great day!
