Too on point not to share, “Aussie reply to Trump rant about NATO not being there for us. Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage. You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail. Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gunmaker's stock to your mates. Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you. And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban thanked you very much for losing again. And you're calling Greenland poorly run? Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no. "NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years. And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess. So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your fucking mouth. Credit (borrowed from) Jim Scroggins - original author 📷 unknown”

Pravidelně investovat desítky let vyžaduje disciplínu, kterou většina lidí nemá → Srovnání s pákou (hypotéka) proti investici bez páky (index) není fér – a přesto ho skoro všichni dělají → Nájem v 70 – kdo vám ho pronajme? Český nájemní trh není Švýcarsko Nejsilnější myšlenka? Nediverzifikovat je podle něj horší než zvolit špatný nástroj. A přitom přiznává – pro lidi bez disciplíny může hypotéka dávat smysl. Nutí vás spořit násilím. Co vy – kombinujete obojí, nebo sázíte na jednu kartu?

@Nebuliser1 @wolfmiloember @VeryBrexitProbs No, we wouldn't. USA isn't able to supply 5 million army across the ocean. And that's bare minimum to start anything conventional with Europe. We'd know if they mustered so many soldiers and had time to prepare. Outcome: loss of the whole US army. Trash talk is max US can do.

MAGA thinks Europe can't defend itself without America. Here's what they don't know. 1. France and Britain have 515 nuclear warheads and 8 nuclear missile submarines. 2. European defence spending hit €481 billion this year. That's more than Russia and China spend combined. The EU's ReArm Europe plan is mobilising another €800 billion. 3. European countries have over 1.7 million active troops. Russia has 1.3 million. 4. EU and UK air forces fly over 1,400 combat aircraft. Their navies have five aircraft carriers, over 60 submarines, more than 120 frigates and destroyers. 5. Europe has over 6,000 artillery pieces and that's before the biggest rearmament wave since the Cold War. Poland alone is adding 212 new howitzers. 6. The British SAS invented modern special forces. The US copied them to build Delta Force. From France's Foreign Legion to Poland's GROM, Europe's elite units are among the deadliest on earth. 7. Europe already has joint military commands ready to fight. The UK leads a 10-nation rapid reaction force across Northern Europe and the Arctic. Finland alone can mobilise 900,000 trained reservists all prepared to fight in arctic conditions. 8. Europe has its own satellite navigation (Galileo), its own defence programme (75 active projects) and is building its own rapid deployment force. The "helpless Europe" story was never about defence. It was about keeping Europe dependent and buying American weapons, relying on American intelligence, following American foreign policy. Thanks to Trump, that now ends.

The Great Migration: How the Foundations of the English-Speaking World Were Laid Ever wonder why we speak English and not a Roman or Celtic tongue? The answer lies in a chaotic, transformative period between the 5th and 7th centuries. When the Roman Empire’s grip on Britain slipped, a vacuum was left behind—one that was filled by the bold seafaring tribes of Northern Europe: the Angles, Saxons, and Jutes. This wasn't just a military invasion; it was a total cultural reset. From the shores of modern-day Denmark and Northern Germany, these tribes crossed the treacherous North Sea to seek new land, eventually pushing the native Britons to the fringes and creating the "Heptarchy"—the seven kingdoms that would one day become England. Whether you're a history buff or just curious about where our modern traditions and language began, this map tracks the very first steps of the journey that would eventually reach the shores of America centuries later. The Foundations of a New World: The Anglo-Saxon Migration (449–600 CE) To understand the United States today—its laws, its literature, and its primary language—one must look back nearly 1,600 years to the foggy coastlines of the North Sea. The migration of the Germanic tribes to the British Isles is perhaps one of the most consequential movements of people in Western history. It was a period marked by the collapse of an old superpower, the arrival of opportunistic warriors, and the slow, grinding birth of a new identity. This is the story of how Britain became "England" and how the seeds of the English-speaking world were first planted. In 410 CE, the Roman Empire was crumbling. Under pressure from "barbarian" tribes closer to home, the Emperor Honorius sent a letter to the cities of Britain, famously telling them to "look to their own defenses." For nearly four centuries, Rome had provided a professional military, legal infrastructure, and a sense of global connectivity. When the legions left, they took the stability with them. Britain was left vulnerable. To the north, the Picts and Scots began raiding deeper into the lowlands. According to the monk-historian Bede, a British leader named Vortigern made a fateful decision: The invited Germanic mercenaries from the mainland to help defend his lands. He offered them territory in exchange for protection. It was an invitation that changed the course of history forever. Once the first wave of warriors realized how fertile and poorly defended the island was, the trickle of mercenaries turned into a flood of settlers. As shown in map, the migration was primarily driven by three distinct groups, each bringing their own dialects and customs. Hailing from the region of Angeln (modern-day Schleswig-Holstein in Germany), they were perhaps the most numerous. They settled in the north and east, founding the kingdoms of Northumbria, Mercia, and East Anglia. It is from this tribe that names "England" (Engla-lond) and "English" (Englisc) are derived. Coming from the sprawling plains of Northern Germany, the Saxons were fierce warriors and prolific settlers. They moved into the south and west of Britain, establishing Wessex (West Saxons), Sussex (South Saxons), and Essex (East Saxons). Their legacy survived in the title of the "Anglo-Saxon" people and heavily influenced the legal and social structures of the early English state. The smallest of the three main groups, the Jutes traveled from the Jutland peninsula (modern Denmark). They settled in Kent and the Isle of Wight. Though fewer in number, they maintained a distinct cultural identity for generations, and the Kingdom of Kent became a vital gateway for the reintroduction of Christianity to the island later on. #archaeohistories

Většinu z nich tvořili zkušení jezdci hunského či slovanského původu, proslulí svou rychlostí a bojovými dovednostmi. Belisarius, známý svou prozíravostí a vojenským uměním, nehodlal této příležitosti nechat bez povšimnutí. Příchod posil 9. dubna 537 a následné aktivní kroky Belisaria představovaly klíčový moment v dlouhém a krvavém obléhání Říma. Statečnost obránců a strategická genialita Belisaria, posílená příchodem hunských a slovanských jezdců, tak začaly psát novou kapitolu v boji o nadvládu nad Itálií.

Let me be very clear about this… I would not treat an attack on the Falklands in the same way Margaret Thatcher did… I would treat it in the same way Donald Trump would treat an attack on Mar-a-logo… If Argentina were to ever attack the Falklands, we should meet them with FIRE AND FURY the likes of which they have never seen! I wouldn’t stop until EVERY piece of military hardware they possess, both around the Falklands and in ARGENTINA ITSELF was little more than a twisted pile of scrap metal! The Falklands are as British as the Isle of White. We should NEVER tolerate an attack on Britain.
British Intel@TheBritishIntel

🚨 CHILE SIDES WITH ARGENTINA ON THE FALKLANDS Chile has officially declared its support for Argentina’s claim over the Falkland Islands. This came in a joint statement after a meeting between the two countries’ leaders. The Falklands are British territory - defended with British blood in 1982. Now more countries are openly testing us because they sense weakness in London. Britain must make it crystal clear: The Falklands are ours and will remain ours forever.

Polsko – největší iluze českého byznysu? Michal Jalovecký v Polsku podniká 20 let. Staví rodinné domy, investuje do nemovitostí, zná to zevnitř. A říká věc, kterou tady moc lidí slyšet nechce: poslední rok to Polsko jde spíš dolů než nahoru. Nic neztuneloval, nic neukradl. → Zahraniční firma, co vyroste? Systém si vás začne všímat. A ne přátelsky. → Biedronka dostala pokutu 600 mil. Kč za údajně klamavou slevu na Velikonoce. → Účetní podal výsledovku o měsíc pozdě. Pokuta, vyšetřování, hrozba exekuce do 72 hodin. V Česku běžná věc. Tam existenční stres. Polsko je tvrdý kapitalismus. Nikoho nezajímáte. A ten stroj jede bez ohledu na to, jestli přežijete. Znáte někoho, kdo v Polsku podniká? Jakou má zkušenost?

6. dubna 1945 padl v bojích v okolí polské vesnice Tvorkov Štěpán Vajda, československý voják, důstojník 1. samostatné tankové brigády, in memoriam vyznamenán Zlatou hvězdou Hrdiny Sovětského svazu. NATO is in far bigger danger than anyone realizes. And the reason has nothing to do with defense budgets. The real danger is psychological. It’s cultural. Europeans didn’t just free-ride on American security for 80 years. They built an entire identity around the idea that they evolved past the Americans protecting them. That identity is now the single biggest obstacle to Western survival. And the darkest irony is: we helped build it. After World War II, Europe wasn’t just economically shattered. Its culture was in ruins. The cities, the universities, the concert halls, the museums. Rubble. The Marshall Plan rebuilt the economy. But culture wasn’t a priority. Not at first. Then the Iron Curtain dropped. And suddenly culture became a weapon. American diplomats, academics, artists & scholars flooded Western Europe. We funded their universities. Supported their orchestras. Rebuilt their museums. Promoted their intellectual life. Not because European culture needed saving for its own sake. Because Eastern Europeans were struggling for Maslow’s mist basic needs. We needed the view from the other side of that Wall to be intoxicating. So America built Western Europe into a showcase of self-actualization. Art. Philosophy. Cafe culture. Long vacations. Universities where people studied literature instead of surviving. We were manufacturing jealousy. And it worked. The Wall came down. But here’s what no one accounted for. When you give a society self-actualization on someone else’s tab long enough, they forget it was a gift. They start believing it was organically theirs. And when they look at the country that funded it all, a country busy building aircraft carriers and semiconductor fabs and shale fields instead of reaching the Maslow’s pinnacle. An overweight American in a ball cap who can’t tell Monet from Pissarro. Who eats fast food. Who drives a truck. Who builds strip malls instead of piazzas. And to a culture trained in aesthetics but stripped of strategic awareness, that American looks uncivilized. So the arrogance takes root. And once a culture decides another is beneath them, they stop listening. Americans say wars are sometimes necessary: crude. Oil is the backbone of prosperity: unsophisticated. Kids build companies in garages that reshape the planet: crass. Wall Street finances the global economy: vulgar. Europe has no world-class technology sector. No military capable of strong defense. No energy independence. No AI capacity. What Europe has is culture. The culture we paid for at the expense of us reaching Maslow’s pinnacle. For decades that was fine. We funded the museums, protected the sea lanes, and tolerated the sneering because the arrangement worked. Then Europeans stopped keeping the contempt private. They started saying it to our faces. In their media. In their parliaments. At every international forum. “Americans are stupid. Americans are violent. Americans are a threat to democracy.” We could have moved the Louvre to NY. We could have built a Venice here. We could have stolen your best artists, designers, philosophers and more… like your conquering armies did for centuries. Instead we funded them. And all we asked for in return was to let us visit. You don’t have the military to defend your borders. You don’t have the technology to compete. You don’t have the energy to heat your homes without begging dictators. What you have is an 80-year superiority complex FUNDED BY AMERICANS, protected by American soldiers, and built on the false belief that self-actualization is civilization. It isn’t. Civilization is the ability to sustain itself. By that measure, Europe isn’t a civilization at all. It’s a dependency with better wine. That’s not a threat. It’s a weather report. Build a Navy. Or don’t. But stop lecturing the people who made you “better than us” Our “crudeness” our “stunted liberal education” our “ugly strip malls” are because we sacrificed our culture to support yours.

@SuitablePolitic We should invade & conquer Europe. The same way we did it last time. Start with the UK. Then France. Most of their non communist people would welcome it

EU: "We have a special relationship with the USA!" USA: "Sweet. So we have a trade problem. We're buying all your stuff, which is cool. But you don't buy any of our stuff." EU: "Okay. But that doesn't really matter, right?!" USA: "Well. Since our market is so full of your stuff, that's less room for our own stuff. Which would be fine. But we only really sell our stuff to us, because... you don't buy our stuff." EU: "Okay, I guess. But really, we can't buy your stuff because of the dollar." USA: "Well, that's one barrier. But you also create more barriers." EU: "No, we don't!" USA: "You tariff us." EU: "Well, we need to!" USA: "And your VAT taxes make imports nonviable in your markets." EU: "That's to protect our own markets!" USA: "Great, so you understand what we're doing perfectly. We're tariffing you." EU: "YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" USA: "Well, until you remove those barriers, we are doing that." EU: "YOU HATE WESTERN CIVILIZATION!"
