My socially awkward 19-year old daughter finally got up the courage to go to the DMV and take the written driver's license test. She was able to get the learner's permit and had been driving with her dad and I for 3 years but hadn't been able to take the DL test. She failed it 3 times and the grizzled, old, fat DMV ladies were so kind to her. They called her honey and gave her kleenex and told her it happens to everyone and don't let it get you down, etc. One of them finally told her to try the computer test because a lot of people who failed the written test sailed right through the computer test, and she did, on the first try. Those ladies clapped and cheered for her and in her license photo she's wearing the biggest, happiest smile I've ever seen on her.

🚗 This woman says that her dead grandfather has been “driving” her car for the past three years… not literally, but technically. She financed it through PNC Bank three years ago, but the leasing company says they closed her account in 2023 and released the title to her grandfather… who passed away in 2020. They even asked if she’s talked to him! She’s been stuck in an endless nightmare loop — phone calls, missing titles, power of attorneys, surrogacy paperwork from her grandmother, contradictory information, and more — and she’s still waiting on a duplicate title they promised would arrive in 14 business days. I'm sure we all have DMV/bureaucracy stories to tell, hit me with your best one.
