@gonzalez_n10753@tom_karnes@doctor2pi Yes it is very important to make sure that new resources meet the students requirements and the school curriculum.
@tom_karnes A4) I would ask teachers and classmates for resources that they use effectively in their class. The only way of knowing whether new resources would work for me is by trying them and see if they meet my requirements. #CSUBTED#CSUBEDTE4200@doctor2pi
Last evening of the Slow Chat! Here's the next question. Make sure you include A4) before your response. Don't forget to tag #CSUBTED , #CSUBEDTE4200, and your EDTE 4200 professor.
@ccynthia883@tom_karnes@DrEddiesClass Asking experienced teachers is a great way to make sure what resources can be used especially now a days we need to be careful what tech can be used in the school.
@tom_karnes A4) When I have questions about technology I ask the teacher that I work with, I would recommend asking teachers with experience that can guide you in the right direction. They can tell you what might work best, and asking your students for their input. #csubted@dreddiesclass
@alondra1071@Ststansberry@doctor2pi I personally use Spanish-English Dictionary since English is my second language. Google translate is also great tool. Easy to accesses with the apps for both.
Wednesday fun! Here's the next question in the CSUB EDTE4200 Slow Chat. Make sure you include A3) before your response. Don't forget to tag #CSUBTED , #CSUBEDTE4200, and your EDTE 4200 professor.
@Ststansberry 1) I highly encourage using Flip to give students opportunities to practice speaking and listening. You can structure prompts that are scaffolded for learners at different levels. Flip gives them a safe space to practice and share. #csubted
@Arlene055256486@doctor2pi@DrEddiesClass I am not familiar with Kahoot but seems to be a great resource to use in the classroom. I will definitely check into it.
@doctor2pi A2) I would recommend using zoom! It has unique features that make it a helpful tool for students who are in differing situations & circumstances. For example, scheduling an online/video meeting when a student can’t attend in person.

@IrisLopez989560@doctor2pi Hi Iris I used Class Dojo during the pandemic and it was a great resource to be in contact with parents and students. Great resource!
@doctor2pi A) Q1: Teachers and parents can collaborate together on class dojo to communicate any concerns and ideas. Regarding the students academic, social, and emotional needs. Both parties can focus on learning the students interest in tech. tech.@doctor2pi#CSUBTED#EDTE4200
@tom_karnes A4 I usually ask my colleagues. I also use Google for new ideas to incorporate in the classroom but I usually double check with the principal and colleagues if the activity can be incorporated into the curriculum. #csubted
@Ststansberry A3 The only technology I can think of is Starfall. It is a program that teaches beginning sounds, words and has a read at loud. Students can practice reading in English and increase their vocabulary. I use it with my ESL students and low readers. #csubted
@doctor2pi A1) Google forms allows teachers to create assignments for the whole classroom or create individual assignments for each student's needs. It can be done as multiple choices, short answers or paragraphs. Teachers can provide feedback to students' work. #csubted
@doctor2pi A2 I would recommend Google Drive. Students can store all their assignments, do group projects by sharing, teachers can give feedback in shared assignments. Google Drive has different languages to use. It can be accessed with a phone or any other electronic device. #csubted
@AshleyRive13890@doctor2pi@Ststansberry Hi Ashley, I am with you Remind up is a great tool for teachers and parents to use. Parents can communicate with teachers easily.
@doctor2pi A1) I think one great tool for parents and teachers to use is the Remind App, teachers can post updates and info about their class, while also communicating with parents 1:1 to cater to individual students. #CSUBTED#EDTE4200@Ststansberry
@doctor2pi A1) 1 resource that is innovative is FlipGrid-it allows for multiple things to take place For ex checking for understanding, communication skills,& collaboration amongst others It also allows for students to showcase their work in their own words #csubted#EDCI6710@DrEddiesClass
@verovjasso@doctor2pi@DrEddiesClass A1) Google forms allows teachers to create assignments for the whole classroom or create individual assignments for each student's needs. It can be done as multiple choices, short answers or paragraphs. Teachers can provide feedback to students' work. #csubted
