चुनाव ख़त्म होने के बाद प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने जनता से कहा • घर से काम करो • मेट्रो से चलो • पेट्रोल डीजल बचाओ • सोना मत ख़रीदो • विदेश मत जाओ • विदेशी ब्रांड का सामान मत ख़रीदो • खाने का तेल कम इस्तेमाल करो • खेत में खाद कम डालो यह कोई नेक सलाह या इमोशनल अपील नहीं है. यह असल में मोदी और उनकी सरकार की नाकामी का जीता जागता सबूत हैं ना energy security सुनिश्चित कर पाये, ना रुपया बचा पाये, ईंधन की किल्लत से लोग जूझ रहे हैं - चुनाव खत्म होने पर सच स्वीकारने को मजबूर हैं इस सच के बारे में मोदी जी को राहुल गांधी जी ने मार्च के महीने में ही आगाह किया था, ईंधन की किल्लत के बारे में चेताया था. तब उनकी अनसुनी करने का नतीजा आज सबके सामने है लेकिन हिपोक्रेसी की भी सीमा होती है. देश को पेट्रोल डीजल बचाने की सलाह देने वाले मोदी जी ख़ुद काफिले के साथ बेमतलब का रोडशो कर रहे हैं. आपको विदेश यात्रा ना करने की नसीहत देकर ख़ुद गर्मी से बचने के लिए 15 तारीख को यूरोप निकल रहे हैं 12 साल सत्ता में काबिज रहने के बाद आज देश से कहना पड़ रहा है क्या ख़रीदें, क्या नहीं, कैसे चलें, कहाँ जाएँ, कहाँ नहीं इतने अच्छे दिन नहीं चाहिए थे मोदी जी. आप तो झोला उठा कर निकल लेंगे - लेकिन देश को तबाह करने में आपने कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ो है यह आपके compromised होने का नतीजा है - अब आपके बस की बात नहीं

Personal rituals belong at home, not at the desk of a public official. A public office represents all citizens, regardless of faith. To see it treated as a private shrine is a step backward for Indian administrative standards. Professionalism demands a secular workplace.
