Our 98 page memo on $AIOT is below. The bottom line from the call today: (1) street numbers and targets going higher, (2) this is clearly a comp to $IOT, (3) they have a ton of momentum, (4) you are paying 15x+ ev/sales for $IOT and ~2x sales / sub 6.5x EBITDA for this. Investor Day in nyc is 11/22/24.
Our memo said $6+ but fair value is probably $20+ (would be ~50% valuation discount to $IOT). Will take time and more earnings prints to prove this out.
Why does this exist and how is this so cheap? Two companies that lacked scale and FCF did a highly accreditive merger and management team that came 2+ years ago from private equity is hitting their stride. Additionally the TAM is massively expanding.
Is the $IOT valuation insane or what? Yes, probably...but its also saying that this is a $70+ billion TAM growing 20-30% per year and no one has more than $1.5 billion / $70 right now...and the $70 is going to be $150+ in a few years.

$PWFL $MIXT $IOT Lake Cornelia Research Management announces new long position in $PWFL. Sees $6+ target, with potential for a full-rate into comp group with Samsara $IOT (ie $21 = 8x EV/Revenue vs. $IOT at ~15x). Our $6 target is ~8x forward EBITDA. Management really doesn't get paid until $15+. The merger between $PWFL $MIXT, scheduled to close on 4/2, is transformational for $PWFL and caps an amazing run by new management, who joined the company in early 2022. They inherited a subscale business, highly levered with no FCF. In 2 years they have transformed this company into a credible competitor to $IOT (and industry #2 Geotab), with the merger taking leverage down to ~1.0x and creating the scale to generate sustainable FCF to fund growth. We see the current entry point as attractive: - The nature of the reverse merger structure (ie they are more $MIXT shares to arb than $PWFL shares available to short) driving short volume of ~50% of total volume. This goes away on deal close - With $PWFL share count going from 37 mm to ~110 mm, this will easily be added to the $IWM this summer - The IoT market is growing over 20% per year, driven by a step function change in delivered ROIs to customers, and by extension ARPUs paid to providers. - Both $MIXT and $PWFL were busted equities with little following and limited liquidity We do not believe, nor does management, that there is ANYTHING that $IOT (or Geotab) can do that the new $PWFL cannot.
