As we learn Ann’s murder WAS politically motivated, The Times has revealed the scale of the threat to Nigel’s life. Nigel has received 1,577 threats since February this year. Including 597 death threats. The most persistent individual targeting Farage sent 6 directed threats to him on Facebook between June 24 and July 6, including a message telling him to “get the f*** out of Wales before I just kill Nigel Farage … you can die at any f***ing moment.” Another individual posted on X last month saying: “Execute the striking Traitor Nigel Farage. TODAY,” followed by two further escalating posts within eight hours. A third individual wrote on X: “Can someone shoot Nigel Farage? Make him a self-fulfilling prophecy?” All the ‘journalists’ and MPs who attack him for accepting a gift to fund his security should hang their heads in shame. The government still provides him with no security. They did for a short while after the general election. Then - astonishingly - they cut it by 75% within weeks of the assassination of Charlie Kirk and sent David Lammy out to say Nigel “flirted with the Hitler Youth”. Reform stepped in to provide him with a detail of the original size, appropriate to the enormous threat. The establishment doesn’t want Nigel to have the required security for a reason. They incite violence against him for a reason. It’s exactly what it looks like.

.@Nigel_Farage thinks he requires more protection than the actual leader of His Majesties Opposition @KemiBadenoch a woman that is very likely abused and threatened a lot of the time. He has half a dozen MPs in Parliament. Half of them are failed Tory MPs. What on earth is he giving it? We are all subject to abuse and threats (most abuse is directed at women MPs) so I get it but @EdwardJDavey leads a Parliamentary party of 72 MPs. @LibDems have fully committed to rejoining the EU (the Greens as well) which is likely still the most controversial issue amongst some (a lot) of the electorate yet we don’t hear Ed dictating what state provided security he requires or does not require. Farage thinks he’s already the PM. What are we to do offer close protection to any MP that feels they are a particular target? Any number of MPs could waltz into the chamber, utter something particularly controversial and then demand the full package of security as a result of it. The security services have a good idea of what security individual MPs require and they get it. Many backbenches receive higher numbers of threats than others and accordingly have more security as a result.

Exclusive: Nigel Farage turned down taxpayer-funded security including a bodyguard, car and trained driver last year, The i Paper has learned. The Reform UK leader was offered the protection following police advice on the threats he faced. He had already been receiving publicly-funded security prior to this, and felt that his package had been downgraded. It would have given Farage a similar level of security to Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch and some high-profile Cabinet ministers. Farage declined the offer because he considered the protection to be inadequate. A Reform spokesman suggested Farage needed stronger protection than the leader of the opposition, telling The i Paper he is “the most targeted politician in Britain and the only party leader who actually goes out to meet the public in huge numbers on the campaign trail”. THE State has considered locating an asylum-seeker reception centre at a historic site in Dublin's Phoenix Park, the Irish Mail on Sunday has learned.
The MoS understands that internal discussions have already taken place in Government about putting a reception centre for international protection applicants on part of the 14-acre site where Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSI is now situated.
So we have alreadv had discussions with different agencies at various levels, but there has been no solid conclusion. At this stage, we are going to have to consider some drastic options - and one of those is an international protection centre and maybe some longer-term accommodation for asylum seekers. It is up in the air for now, and we know it will be controversial.
