A special thanks to local Queens bee keepers Mickoy Holness and Clayton Thomas for assisting in giving this bee swarm of about 35k bees a new home! Was a great day for team work

There was quite the buzz late last night at 3 World Trade Center as 8,000 honeybees swarmed the side of the building. Thankfully, a quick response from @NYPDBees resulted in the safe capture of our flying friends who were relocated without incident to an apple orchard.

In queens last night, while removing and rehoming this newly established colony of approx. 15k honey bees, I was able to take some footage of them inside of the tree they had nested in using a fiber optic camera

Last night we received our first call of the year for a swarm of about 20k honey bees on a low hanging tree branch in Queens. The bees were gathered and safely relocated. Special thanks to the officers @NYPD107Pct

🐝 sure to tune in this morning @NY1 as I give my final television interview with @LindsayTuchman and her cameraman Jason before my retirement on Monday morning. They took the trip to the Hudson Valley to help harvest some 🍯
