Forcibly slapping, choking & dragging a defenseless 2-month old puppy is REPREHENSIBLE! After learning of the abuse our officers acted fast to arrest the miscreant! Turns out the same criminal was ALSO wanted for assaulting a 75-year-old man last month & charged for both crimes!
Every day, our community shares their voice, expressing concerns and advocating for the well-being of all including animals. Today the Bronx Animal Cruelty Squad and Bronx DA, joined forces to address the pressing issue of animal cruelty in their borough. The collaborative efforts have led to the rescue of a pit bull named ‘China’, and we are deeply grateful for the partnership that made this possible. These photos, shared by the Animal Cruelty Squad, capture the compassionate efforts and dedication of those involved in China’s rescue. This is just one example of the power of collaboration and community engagement. Thank you to all who have supported and contributed to this rescue!
Today marks a decade of collaboration between the NYPD and @ASPCA in raising awareness and preventing cruelty to animals. Because of this partnership, the animal abuse squad has trained over 28,000 patrol officers to detect cruelty and neglect towards animals, helping over 5,000 animals. As we commemorate Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month, we celebrate the shared commitment of our organizations to advocating for the well-being of our beloved animal companions.
After receiving 911 calls of a dog drowning in Baisley Pond, Officers Williams & Esposito from the @NYPD113Pct responded and entered the frigid water to rescue Sparky, an 8-year-old blind Border Collie. Thanks to the quick-thinking officers, Sparky and its owner were reunited
