Holy shit… How can I explain this so normal people understand what the fuck is happening here… I’ll give it a shot. 🤷🏻‍♂️ In my original post, I pointed out how a 2x4 was $13 under Biden (fact). I didn’t specify the reason why, because the point wasn’t to blame Biden, it was to highlight sometimes events happen (Covid, war, etc) that cause prices to increase, and eventually they come down. Everyone is bitching about gas after less than 2 months of an operation which has caused a temporary price increase, but we lived under massive inflation for years and we all survived. I’ll bet good money gas prices will revert way faster than the cost of a 2x4 under Biden, yet people are still acting like the fucking sky is falling, and you all need to chill. But anyway, this fuckin retard just decided to try to get a gotcha moment on me by pointing out a 16 foot pressure treated 2x4 in 2026 is comparable to the to cost of an 8 foot white wood stud in 2021. For those of you who aren’t in the trades, PT lumber is always more expensive than whitewood or KD because it’s treated for a specific use. He probably didn’t know that because he’s a fuckin nerd. So, if we adjust for the cost of an 8 foot 2x4 in 2021 being $13 which is 350% higher than the price it is now, and apply it to the price of a 16 foot PT stud according to his “research”, that same piece of lumber would be around $50 while Biden was president, and Biden didn’t even blow up any terrorists, what a loser. The moral of the story is math, bitch!

The House just voted against banning soda from SNAP. Why should the government fund your soda purchases? If SNAP recipients want to buy sugary drinks, they can do it on their own dime, not on the backs of a taxpayer-funded nutrition program.

The average McDonalds restaurant takes in ~$4million/yr in revenue. They spend ~$2 million in non payroll operating expenses. Raising the minimum wage to $25/hr would give each of the ~50 full time employees a pay rate of $51,000/yr. That would increase their payroll costs to $2.5 million per year Each McDonalds would operate at a net loss, unless they massively cut payroll costs through automation. That means job losses. The laws of economics are undefeated.
