𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 , 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞. Having four babies in nine years with the youngest just 7 months old has been a beautiful, exhausting, and honestly wild journey. I spent most of my youthful years giving life, nurturing life, and putting others first. Now in my mid-30s, I’ve made a decision: 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺 𝗺𝗲. One of my New Year’s resolutions was simple but powerful get back in the gym. And I did. Not perfectly, not consistently every day, but faithfully enough to start seeing change. Progress is happening, and I’m trusting the process. My goal? To feel stronger, healthier, and more confident by December. But this is bigger than weight loss. In our 30s, health is no longer optional it’s a responsibility. I’ve come to understand that lifestyle diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, and some cancers don’t just “happen”… many are influenced by how we live daily. And while they may be “waiting on the 5th floor,” I’ve chosen not to take that elevator. 𝙄’𝙢 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩. 𝙄’𝙢 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙮 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮. 𝙄’𝙢 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙘𝙪𝙩𝙨. Yes, the temptation for quick fixes cosmetic options or Ozempic has crossed my mind. But I’ve realized something: there is power in the long road. Sustainable. Intentional. Rooted in preserving God’s original creation! And the truth is, this body is a gift from God. Taking care of it is not vanity it’s stewardship. So far, I’ve lost 4kgs slowly, intentionally, while still breastfeeding and honoring my body’s current season. No extreme diets. No pressure. Just consistency and grace. To every mother, every woman trying to find herself again this is your reminder: It’s not too late. You’re not behind. Start where you are. Dear mothers, We’re not just getting our bodies back we’re building stronger, healthier futures for ourselves and our families. Let’s live right. 💛
