@openletteryt @GabbbarSingh There's a difference between publicly available and license to use. 🫠 Not only videos, many of the photos/icons and clips are generally publicly published, but have to be paid for using them, especially without credits. It's same as not paying tax for freelance income.

@GabbbarSingh Few seconds of publicly available clips being used. The agencies can put up a copyright claim (take revenue of that entire video) They are going for copyright strike, which aims at deletion of channel. This is ransom seeking by showing fear and asking any random amount as fee.

YouTubers who earn millions, employ zero field reporters to cover stuff. Instead they would conveniently pick up clips without license, and are now leading some kind of morcha, once they were made to pay for stealing. All news channels pay news agencies for their reports. That’s the business model. Earlier digital creators flew under the radar, now that these guys have started making a lot of money, it’s natural that news agencies would make them pay.
