Der er faktisk ikke "danske" (eller nogle andre nationale) gener i disse test. Gener kender jo ikke landegrænser. (Et velkendt problem er, at det er svært at kende forskel på jyder og englændere ...) Disse test holder ens egen autosomale DNA op mod resultater fra andre i en refencegruppe med selvrapporterede nationaliteter. De er derfor meget følsomme. Siden jeg fik taget/analyseret min første for 12 år siden, har mine "etniciteter" ændret sig 5-7 gange eller så--og nogle gange meget.
