I have lived in my Mexican border town my entire life, and like many Mexican people, I have relatives who went to the US, so I'll give it a go. This is, of course, my opinion, and obviously, I cannot claim to represent all Latino people, as point 1 will illustrate:
1. There is no "Latino" vote. We are talking about 20 different countries that, although they have a lot in common, are not the same. Just think about the political and socioeconomic differences between states and ask yourself how that gets magnified when we talk about whole countries. So, if someone ever tries to do a serious analysis to answer this question, they will have to stop looking at the Latino community as a monolith.
2. Most Latino people go to the US to escape poverty and/or violence. They leave their country behind, looking for a fresh start, away from the horrible things that were happening in their towns. However, as far as they know, they are some of "the good ones," but they cannot vouch for other people. After all, there's a reason they left. Some of them might be asking themselves: What if some bad people come and tarnish the reputation of the Latinos who are already in the US?
3. I think you are right about catholicism (abortion bad!) and misogyny. At least in Mexico, there is still a lot of machismo. Sure, we chose a female president this time, but that's because a lot of preparation went into it. She was not an improvised candidate, and, above all, she played on the strengths of the previous president (who was incredibly popular to his last day), so people voted for her on record levels. BTW, the other major candidate was also a woman.
4. Some of them feel they no longer belong back home, so this new land must fill that void. Therefore, they need to feel accepted. Are they perhaps thinking that the best way to achieve that is to vote for a guy whose behavior was not only normalized but also celebrated by millions of people? Plus, he's supposed to be wealthy; he must know something!

BREAKING: Will.i.am just dropped a new track titled "Yes She Can"—and yes, “She” is Kamala Harris.
This is the anthem America needs to hear right now.

MARK KELLY: Trump last week said he's going to kill the CHIPS Act, which is bringing all these semiconductor manufacturing jobs, and just this week Mike Johnson confirmed they'll end that program. We're talking about tens of thousands of good paying jobs.
BREAM: Well, the Speaker has made some clarification on that and said he misheard a question--
MARK KELLY: Yeah Shannon, I went back and listened multiple times to what he said ...

Jeff Bezos has forced The Washington Post - the newspaper he owns - to not endorse in a presidential race for the first time 36 years because he’s worried Donald Trump will take away his government contracts.
RETWEET if you think @JeffBezos is a disgrace to democracy!

God bless @jaketapper for saying this

Tapper: We are treating Vice President Harris like we treat a normal politician. Meanwhile, the Republican nominee literally is calling Americans who don’t support him ‘the enemy within,’ and talking about using the military to go after these people
