I've been wanting to take a closer look at TechCongress for about a decade. New for @Inc:

David Sacks says here that with his PCAST role, he will no longer be on a 130-day clock as a special government employee. "In the first year of the Trump administration, I had a role as a SGE that had 130 days. We've now used up that time. And I think moving forward, as co-chair of PCAST, I can now make recommendations on not just AI, but an expanded range of technology topics. Interestingly, at the @BullMooseProj's "America First Antitrust Forum" today FTC Chair @AFergusonFTC’s video remarks are substantially about consumer protection: "We need to understand that consumer protection, no less than antitrust, is an effective tool in fighting corporate power and misconduct, and no less than antitrust, consumer protection needs to be an integral part of an America First approach." As he notes, "Now you may be slightly surprised to hear me talk about consumer protection at this conference, but any conservative populist or nationalist who cares about corporate power needs to care about consumer protection no less than antitrust."
