@SeanWrightSec Company had a password security product and offered 100k to anyone who could bypass the product. I did it during the sales demo while the guy was bragging about how nobody's ever collected the 100k. They refused to pay out the 100k.

@clevrcat I have a good one. One time after giving a talk at a conference (it was a solo talk not a joint talk), some people came up and asked my husband to explain technical parts of my talk.

My 20s: being asked “whose your boyfriend” or “where’s your boss?” routinely at work and conferences. (Someone once, while talking to my coworker and I about technical applications of our biz, stoped and turned to me to ask if I knew what “OS” meant.)

Age 11: my other female friend in Technology Education was getting hit on by our teacher. She dropped the class to get away. Age 17: I’m the only girl in my CS class and locked in a room with no windows, no adult, and 9 other teens while taking our final.

How many times, after hearing bad news, do you keep pushing forward and working like normal before that’s not possible anymore? I feel like the toll of this year should be on PTO policies. Workers in the US need more time for mental health and recovery.

Basically 1 development department wants their own devoted pentester, and this is that position. There is a whole internal pentest test that I lead and we would work with you to get you onboarded and provide help if needed but you could be completely self reliant.

@geeslinappsec Apparently a 3rd party reseller transferred my burpsuite pro license to you. I'm not sure if we have met, but after 15 days they finally said we assigned that license to Mark Geeslin. LOL

@ashleymcnamara I was planning on a short one myself, but didn't due to complications at the birth -> pre-eclampsia -> induced -> failed forceps -> emergency c-section ->hemorrhaging. Plan for a short one, but be prepared for changing plans if you need to.

@lil_lost Our power went out around 4:30pm for an hour and then went on and off to the sound off exploding transformers all night. I think it was back on permanently around 4 am.

@clevrcat Power posing (per research lowers cortisol and raises testosterone), dancing break (also lower cortisol in studies), meditation, music, gratitude journaling, exercise, escape in a novel, home spa time, chocolate (increases dopamine levels), fancy cocktails, etc.

I’ve finally hit the anxiety level where I’m having a much harder time dealing with small annoyances. Ughhhhh. What do you do when you’re kind of stuck in a scenario, but need to lessen the irritation level?
