BREAKING: FedEx driver who pleaded guilty to kidnapping and murdering 7-year-old Athena Strand, has been sentenced to death. Tanner Horner snatched Athena while he was delivering a Barbie doll to her home in Paradise, Texas. At one point during the trial, jurors broke down in tears while hearing audio of Horner killing Athena after he told her to take off her shirt and said she was "really pretty." Athena repeatedly asked for her mother before she was killed. "Horner is then heard asking Athena to remove her shirt, and there are several moments when she says "no" and asks for her mom. That was followed by repeated sounds of crying, screaming and banging," NBC reported last month. Following three hours of deliberation today, Horner was sentenced to death by lethal injection.

@Nancy_live2d @CovfefeChan Fefe told us about many punk bands and eveb encouraged me to listen to a few. That's how I was able to go see Black Flag and Circle Jerks. Plus I love her personality and she helped me during a dark and low point in my life.

So im making it a new rule now. If anyone adds me and you have even the slightest suggestion of a hint that you are an artist while you have al kinds of VTuber #hashtags in your profile im instantly blocking you. Im not looking for any artists. I WANT FUCKING FRIENDS WHO ACTUALLY STREAM! Not shitty artists trying to grift off of the community.

@wankrik That makes sense, trust is the core of any real friendship. I’d just say “personally knowing” someone can happen in different ways, not only face-to-face. But yeah, without trust, it’s hard to call it more than an acquaintance.

@Nancy_live2d It did help give me the mindset that a relationship without that trust of personally knowing each other isn't friendship. Trust is crucial in not just friendship, but something even deeper than that. Without that trust I just think of someone as an acquaintance.

I fully agree with opsec and Internet safety practices, but I also think the generations older than millennials probably do have their best interests satisfied better than the younger generations due to the older generations forming face to face, first name basis relationships and the younger generations primarily having relationships where it's mostly online friends and these relationships are purely screen names only. Anyone in the younger generations I'm getting at is easy to divide and conquer.

@wankrik That’s a beautiful story, and kind of proves the point that online friendships can turn into something real over time. Your mom clearly built something genuine there. You definitely should reach out, I’m sure it would mean a lot to them too.

I also learn by my mom's example too. I'm an American, and back in the early 2000s we got a computer, in some chatrooms she met someone from the UK and after months of chatting they got on webcam and formally introduced themselves to each other. Come a decade later she got the money to finally visit her friend in the UK and they had a blast together. They went to meet her at the airport, she went to their home, they went to the border of Scotland, and they said their goodbyes and they continued being friends until the day my mom passed away last year. I really outta get in touch with them.
