I don’t know if this is because twitter has lost its luster, but scrolling through the timeline and hardly anyone seems upset about anything related to the NCAA Tournament. No outrage is not good for everyone in the content business.

WVU has an opportunity for its sixth quad 1 win today. Those 6 quad 1 wins would be the same as Virginia, Arkansas and UNC. And would be more than Tennessee, St John’s, Kentucky, Iowa, Miami, UCLA, Nova, Clemson, etc. All those teams are nowhere near the bubble and are safe.

WVU needs a Wake Forest win over Va Tech. @ESPNLunardi has Va Tech six spots ahead of WVU on the bubble despite only two Quad 1 wins. Va Tech currently sits 1 spot ahead of WVU in KenPom and 3 spots ahead in the NET.

I simply cannot understand why all these bubble teams with basically identical resumes seem so locked in position. Shouldn't comparable resumes make this extremely fluid? Stanford gets its fourth quad 3 loss and doesn't budge? Cincy wins and doesn't budge?

WVU could use a Pitt win over Stanford. @ESPNLunardi has Stanford 7 spots ahead of WVU on his bubble despite being lower in the NET and KenPom. This would be Stanford's fourth quad 3 loss, whereas WVU only has 1. Both teams currently with 5 quad 1 wins.

@NarthurD @Callihan_ One of the 5+ metrics used for team quality. NET was created to try to create a singular metric that helps to capture resume and predictive metrics in one spot while also using the rest as comparative data points. Folks just took the NET as the only thing when it wasn’t.

I get #WVU's resume is far from perfect, but they have more Q1 wins than 11 of the 16 teams listed on Lunardi's bubble. They have 1 Q3 loss. Meanwhile, three teams have a Q4 loss, one team is 16-15, another team has 3 Q3 losses, and another has 12 losses, including 4 straight.

@mcblimp95 @Callihan_ I agree. But it's also annoying the NCAA literally is the one who created the NET rankings and the Quads as its directly affiliated metric system for determining team quality. If it doesn't want to use the Quad system, then create a new system.

Can’t imagine one win in Kansas City will get you in. The second game would most likely be against either Arizona or Houston. So if you win two, you’re in - given that quality of the second win. But winning two would be incredibly difficult.
