I am deeply and profoundly saddened by the loss of these four brave and patriotic soldiers. I can say with certainty that after hearing this news yesterday, not only myself but every Iranian I know felt a heavy sense of shame and collective guilt. We have been so consumed by the anxiety of potential casualties among American and Israeli service members that the sacrifice of these innocent Iranians feels like an even sharper blow. For us, there is no greater pain than seeing those who have come to our aid lose their lives or suffer injuries. This sentiment comes from the very heart of the Iranian people. May they rest in peace, and may God protect the soldiers of the United States and Israel. I hope you believe me. My deepest condolences.💔🇺🇸

Our Assessment: Iran-Released F-35 "Hit" Footage Conclusion: Footage is heavily manipulated propaganda. The clip shared by Iranian state media shows what appears to be a thermal/FLIR lock and impact on a fighter-sized target. However, it cuts exactly at the moment of the flash/explosion. No follow-on footage of the aircraft descending, crashing, or wreckage is provided. If this were genuine combat footage of a successful engagement against a $100M+ F-35, Iran would have released the full unedited sequence to prove the jet was actually downed or at least critically damaged. The abrupt cut is a classic sign of selective editing to hide the fact that the target continued flight. Actual aircraft status per U.S. CENTCOM: The F-35 sustained only minir damage and made a safe emergency landing at a regional U.S. base with the pilot uninjured. The most credible reporting indicates the damage was caused by friendly-fire debris (likely fragments from an intercepted Iranian ballistic missile the F-35 was engaging). No evidence supports a direct IRGC air-defense kill (they don't have any).
