The need for disability inclusivity in law school goes beyond the classroom and the Bar—law journals, student organizations, and other law-related events should be taking active steps to be more accessible and include disabled law students from the start
sab@fruitcollectors

a good thread--and another way law journals like VLR can be more inclusive is through their process of admitting students to the journal. I was unable to try out for a journal during 1L due to not being able to receive adequate disability accommodations in time @NatDLSA

@Ruth_Mensch @MALabellarte @NatDLSA used to have a mutual support group. I don’t know if they’re still hosting it or not. And @NatDisLegal is trying to put together a mentorship thing to help with providing mentor support.

Even better, the developers have come to us with that goal in mind. This month, there will be a 60-90 minute session in August with Prof. Debby Merritt from the Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law, where we review the pathway proposal… (3/?)

The #NYBOLE didn’t think to check if the accommodated testing center in Manhattan has accessible bathrooms for us to use. I’ll be peeing with the stall door open all week. Happy #ADA Day?
