Also, I had CNN on in the background when this interview happened, and I had never actually seen @AsteadWH, only heard his voice. And I ran so fast out of my kitchen to see why this voice was familiar. I rewinded, paused it, and made my mom watch it with me.

@AsteadWH got me through this election cycle. His podcast @TheRunUpNYT not only bettered my understanding of America's political landscape, it made me want to meaningfully engage. I think his podcast should be required listening. Consider this your assignment. 🙃

Dementia is often framed in the context of loss — a loss of neurons, independence, and ultimately life. But some dementia patients experience a burst of artistic creativity 🎨 Now, researchers have an idea as to why. 🧠me for ⁦⁦@washingtonpostwashingtonpost.com/wellness/2023/…

Today I weaseled my way into the office of the hospital's medical physicist and he was all prepared to tell me about my treatment plan and I was like "OK, COOL, NOW CAN YOU SHOW ME HOW YOU CALIBRATE YOUR CANCER LASER"

The spider Ma (major ampullate) gland, not Spider Man, is the real superhero of spider silk production. Researchers used #singlecell & #spatialtranscriptomics to define the cells and architecture of this amazing little organ in golden orb-weaving spiders. 10xgen.com/42wWUXB

Excited to share my post highlighting single cell publications from this year. As a former stem cell researcher, I was especially excited to see @Sergiu_P_Pasca lab's recent pub where they implanted human brain organoids into rat brains.
