This years’ theme: ‘Leading The Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future!” The HerStory 5K is more than a race, it’s a celebration of women’s impact, strength, and unity. Women featured below represented Jamaica 🇯🇲, Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹, Haiti 🇭🇹, Guyana 🇬🇾, & the U.S. Virgin Islands 🇻🇮 all in our beautiful Nations Capital.

Good Morning, I would like to personally thank @311DCgov & these gentleman from @DCDPW for clearing the sidewalks on Dumbarton Bridge (Buffalo Bridge / Q Street Bridge) Since the snow, I’ve walked this path twice a day to get to work. It was treacherous!! Their smiles and good nature made my day!

@NatlParkService pedestrians are opting to walk on the railings versus traverse the Dumbarton Bridge/Q st Bridge sidewalk. Extremely hazardous, please add to your list to address.

When it comes to snow removal it’s important to understand who does what in Washington DC. For example, the @NatlParkService is tasked with clearing snow from quite a few parks, roads, and bridges. Dumbarton Bridge also known as Q Street Bridge or Buffalo Bridge is in really bad shape. So bad pedestrians are walking in the street or on top of the railing to cross. When I contacted National Park Service to report this issue, I was told the sun ☀️ would get to it before NPS did. :-/ #Snowstorm2026 #fern #georgetown #dupontcircle
