We are incredibly proud and privileged to have worked with @CleanBrk and Birth Companions on this new play. Based on our research, and with women's voices at the heart, the team at @CleanBrk have created a powerful and creative expression of pregnancy and separation in prison.

I know we know this, but it’s still so wild how the prison population are seen as totally unworthy of protection. As there’s a drive to lock up racists quickly and in large numbers (pointless) notions of protecting the public invisibilise folk inside. The many PoC inside.

I want people to understand that calling for mass arrests, 24 hour courts, lengthly prison sentences, and more surveillance in public places, further radicalises them? Policing doesn’t solve this.

Release Drugs - @releasedrugs.bsky.social
This is why we're so hesitant to provide any access to our clients, or let journalists into drug services. Here, The Telegraph abused the trust of those working in safe spaces, photographing people using drugs against their permission, reducing them to "users". SHAME

Almost 60% of women drawn into the #CriminalJusticeSystem have experienced #DomesticAbuse, and violent, coercive and controlling relationships can be the direct drivers of offending. 🧵
