He set bond at $1,250,000 2) If Eatherly got a bailbondsman at this amount, the premium is set by state law at 10%. Completely non-refundable. Usually 50% of the premium is due up front. This would mean that he would need to pony up $62,500 before getting out. 3) Eatherly has a bail reduction hearing on Wednesday, May 21st at Montgomery County Circuit Court. He will go before a Circuit Court judge of the 19th Judicial District of TN. 4) One of the judges below should be handling his bail reduction hearing, not Poland III. #ChudTheBuilder

@NateOverThere @Bossy_Leah Chud is gonna have to try and prove he didn’t escalate the situation and truly believed there would be serious bodily injury or death. He’s been waiting for a moment like this and has finally got it. Now we let the courts decide what to do with him.

You don’t have to like Chud the Builder to believe that freedom of speech is an absolute right of all Americans. No words are off limits in a free country and assaulting someone over a word is third world, low IQ, low emotional intelligence behavior. Type it out. Say it loud. Carry everywhere.

Brother I am as pro 1A/2A, pro conceal carry, pro self defense as you can get. This was not a good shoot. TN case law for self defense specifically addresses how “conduct reasonably calculated to provoke violence” can counter a claim to self defense. Gann V State, 1964. If you provoke the conflict and do not break the engagement/communicate clear intent to leave, then you can’t claim self defense when unlawful action is taken towards you.
