@EmiratesSupport We’re due to fly to Dubai on the 12th March. We’ve had no response to request a refund. The emirates app states a change to our itinerary that the flight is now 45minutes longer now? Can you help clarify what is happening with our flight and/or refund?

Our post from 11:08am Dubai time regarding operational status is no longer current, and has been deleted to avoid causing unnecessary confusion. Emirates has resumed operations. Passengers who have confirmed bookings for this afternoon’s flights may proceed to the airport. This includes customers transiting in Dubai, if their connecting flight is also operating. Customers can check the flight schedule for upcoming flights, as well as book seats to travel: emirat.es/nowoperating Emirates continues to monitor the situation, and we will develop our operational schedule accordingly. We would like to thank our customers for their understanding and patience. The safety of our passengers and crew is our highest priority and will not be compromised.

This is brilliant. A MUST LISTEN. Sky Andrew is an agent who knows what he's talking about. Don't buy into anyone spinning or trying to defend Alexander Isak. 👇 #nufc

@cor_NEEL_ius @LukeEdwardsTele Agreed. There’s a right way and a wrong way to do it also which I’m sure most agree on. I’ll be glad when it’s over!

@Nath_WJ @LukeEdwardsTele Yeah I’m not saying that’s wrong either, but I think more often than not a player gets their way and that’s bigger than this instance and not unique to Newcastle.

You can sense a change in the mood music around Alexander Isak and Newcastle United. A move to Liverpool, for the first time, looks like it could really happen. Of course, conditions still need to be met - Newcastle need to sign two strikers not one and receive an acceptable bid, but the resolve to keep him, has begun to buckle. I was adamant all summer he would not be sold. That was what everyone at Newcastle said from PIF downwards. If he goes, no matter how it is spun or dressed up, is a huge setback. Newcastle will have done what they always said they wouldn’t. Allowed Isak to join a domestic rival, against their wishes for a fee below their £150m valuation. Liverpool are not going to offer anything like that. It would be weak and it sets a dangerous precedent that will have ramifications way beyond this window - if it happens. Of course, nothing is guaranteed yet but this appears to be the direction of travel #nufc

@cor_NEEL_ius @LukeEdwardsTele I understand his point and I do agree with all that you’re saying. My point is that the perception of allowing behaviours such as Isak’s, & ultimately allowing the move after such a firm apparent stance to the opposite, does then set a precedent. Be that to players and/or clubs

The point is, is that player power has always and will always prevail, what’s important is building the club up so that players don’t want to leave, Newcastle has a lot of the ingredients but not challenging for top honors yet. When that happens, players won’t want to leave. I also don’t think this is what he’s saying - he’s saying that by selling isak when they didn’t want to, they are weak, and that is short sighted and stupid frankly.

@cor_NEEL_ius @LukeEdwardsTele The precedent this sets is around player power no? It shows that, in the end, the player’s behaviour and choices to down tools, let the club, his teammates & the fans down, gets his wishes despite those poor chosen behaviours. Other players will notice this & could happen again

It’s not weak at all? Almost all of the top teams have sold to each other. It happens, it doesn’t set a precedent. Arsenal lost Van Persie to United, tevez went to City, Sterling went to City and man city have given Arsenal Gabriel Jesus. Newcastle just have to keep reinvesting and get good enough so that players don’t want to leave. You don’t set a precedent by forcing players to stay against their wishes, I think only United did that in not letting heinze move to Liverpool. Unless you’re losing someone to Sunderland, it all becomes part of the dance. Newcastle aren’t immune to the market and this posturing shows a lack of experience being close to the top of the game where this is all par for the course. Also when you get good enough, everyone is a rival, because if you’re not competing for the champions league, players will want to leave.

@indykaila @NUFC You’ve played you’re part in whipping up a frenzy. “So upsetting” you’re happy to throw as much shit at a wall that you can (for any transfer story mind, not just Isak!) but then you see reactions like this as if you’ve not stirred the pot

@indykaila Even if this was true, go back to Eddie Howe’s comments about player responsibility, actions (and behaviour) and earn the right to train. Stop fanning the flames for your own benefit

Lads, attendance across the country is low today. Its just how the cup is treated now - its a shame, but its how it is. Neither clubs nor fans treat it the way they used to.
