This news is correct, but as a technicality due to the re-branding.

How about no? We are passionate fans of this series and it sucks that we aren't getting more content.
After being burned by SIFAS and SIF2, we have a right to ask for a new game and/or more content. We can deal with the movies not being simulcast (even though it sucks), we can deal with the current break in anime content (and hope more is coming soon), we can even deal with no concerts happening in the US since 2019.
But the lack of a mobile game is actively hurting the franchise outside Japan. The fanbase this series built during the µ's/Aqours/SIF era has been rapidly leaving. Love Live is quickly becoming obscure outside Japan because staff seemingly decided we don't matter.
The fact that people were asking "Wait, Love Live is still a thing?" during the AiScReam trend tells us all we need to know.
And sure, staff have no obligation to care about fans outside Japan. But we in turn have a right to politely ask for more. Keep filling out those surveys, this is why they exist.

@merumeruchann No problem, thanks for clarifying. IMO the legal/illegal thing should be very simple: if a crime is involved in the creation (child abuse, people's face/photos etc.) then you have a case. Otherwise censorship of mere ideas sb doesn't like really has no place in a democracy.

Fun story — when I was living in Brooklyn, I would hear my super downstairs assault his girlfriend/wife almost every night. At the time, I was swallowing progressive propaganda about not calling the police, so I called the landlord, a community safety service, the property manager, and talked to the neighbors to see if they would intervene. It kept happening. So I eventually called the police, and it stopped, and the super was removed from the building. I’m glad I did that, though I continue to feel guilt that I waited so long.
