The highest paid RB in average salary (Barkley) makes about as much as the 22nd WR (Jakobi Meyers).

@PitchingNinja In hindsight, I’m glad we didn’t go straight to roboumps. Forcing them all through a season or two of ritual humiliation first was the move

Could the league not, whether it requires being an addition to a new CBA or not, just review all fouls and if blatant deception is found, hand out massive (and I mean MASSIVE [% of income]) fines? Ya, you might get away with it during the game, but 3 days later it cost you $100k
Mike Herndon@MikeHerndonSk1

This is the NBA's biggest problem, far bigger than tanking. Nobody wants to watch guys try to trick the refs and shoot free throws for 48 minutes. I'm not sure how the league can fix it. At some point the players just need to have some damn shame and play ball.

I keep seeing this floated. I can’t really wrap my head around the logic of trading capital to pay Achane when you could’ve just signed Walker for less money. Yes, Walker will get you a comp 5. But you aren’t getting achane for anything close to that.
Football Forever@fballforeverhq

As the Dolphins continue to rebuild with premium draft picks, there’s increasing belief that RB De’Von Achane could be traded, with the Seahawks being a possible suitor. Trading for Achane will be expensive as the Seahawks would need to sign him to a lucrative extension.

You can absorb his loss over time, you likely won't be able to find a 1:1 replacement in 2025. That's just not realistic, and that's OK.

yeah as far what goes on in between the lines losing woolen is akin to the broncos losing surtain. it's a huge loss that can't be downplayed. doesn't mean it wasn't the right move long term but they will have to lean on development of other players and this draft to replicate '25
brandonbrownersburner@dvonethorpenemy

@cmikesspinmove People really underrate the loss of Woolen. Jobe is great but he's not at the level of woolen when it comes to outside coverage and hes prone to letting up big plays. I really hope they take a corner/interior guard with their first rounder because playing dime caused our success

People have made it seem like the Seahawks have lost a ton of players. The 2013 SB team lost far more, both in number and in % of snaps on both sides of the ball. That group made to back-to-back SBs despite losing: - Golden Tate - Brandon Browner - Walter Thurmond - Chris Clemons - Red Bryant - Paul McQuiston - Breno Giamcomini - Michael Robinson - Chris Maragos - Clinton McDonald - Sidney Rice

Rashid Shaheed has averaged 47.8 yards per scrimmage TD in his career, the highest by any player in the Super Bowl era (minimum 10 TD). Shaheed also has 5 career kick/punt return TD, the most since he was drafted in 2022. @Seahawks
Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter

Seahawks are bringing back WR Rashid Shaheed on a three-year, $51 million deal that includes $34.7 million guaranteed, per Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey.

Reserve NFL defensive tackle: *signs 1 year, $2 m deal Every “insider”: “A great addition to the room, as his 3 tackles in Week 6 against the Jets helped propel his team to a 13-10 win, and also his agent has a massive dong.”
