แถลงการณ์ ผลการนำส่งดาวเทียม THEOS-2A ตามที่ สำนักงานพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีอวกาศและภูมิสารสนเทศ (องค์การมหาชน) หรือ GISTDA ได้มีกำหนดการนำส่งดาวเทียม THEOS-2A ขึ้นสู่วงโคจรด้วยจรวดนำส่ง PSLV-C62 ขององค์การวิจัยอวกาศอินเดีย (ISRO) เมื่อวันจันทร์ที่ 12 มกราคม 2569 เวลา 11.48 น. และได้เกิดเหตุขัดข้องในช่วงท้ายของขั้นที่ 3 เกิดความผิดปกติของการควบคุมการทรงตัว ส่งผลให้วิถีการบินเบี่ยงเบนไปจากแผนที่กำหนด ทำให้ดาวเทียม THEOS-2A และดาวเทียมอีก 15 ดวงไม่สามารถปล่อยเข้าสู่วงโคจรได้ตามแผน จากการประเมินของ ISRO คาดว่าจรวดและตัวดาวเทียมจะตกลงกลับสู่โลก โดยผ่านการเผาไหม้ในชั้นบรรยากาศเหนือมหาสมุทรอินเดียตอนใต้ ซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่ห่างไกลชุมชน จึงไม่มีความเสี่ยงต่อประชาชนและทรัพย์สินบนภาคพื้นดิน ในส่วนของดาวเทียม THEOS-2A ได้มีการทำประกันภัยนำส่งดาวเทียม (Launch Insurance) ที่ครอบคลุมการสร้างใหม่ (Rebuilt) และนำส่งอีกครั้ง (Relaunch) ในกรณีที่นำส่งไม่สำเร็จ ทั้งนี้ จะต้องมีการหารือร่วมกันในรายละเอียด และเมื่อได้ข้อสรุปถึงแนวทางการดำเนินการต่อไปแล้ว GISTDA จะแจ้งให้กับทุกท่านได้ทราบต่อไป จรวด PSLV มีประวัติการส่งดาวเทียมมาแล้วทั้งสิ้น 63 ครั้ง และประสบความสำเร็จ จำนวน 60 ครั้ง คิดเป็นอัตราความสำเร็จ (Success Rate) ที่ 95.24 % ซึ่งถือว่าอยู่ในระดับสูงเมื่อเทียบกับมาตรฐานอุตสาหกรรมอวกาศ นอกจากนี้ PSLV เป็นจรวดที่สร้างขึ้นเพื่อส่งดาวเทียมที่ระดับความสูง 500 กิโลเมตรจากพื้นดินตรงกับระดับความสูงที่ THEOS-2A ออกแบบมา ถึงแม้ ครั้งนี้ดาวเทียม THEOS-2A จะไม่ได้ขึ้นสู่วงโคจรตามที่กำหนด อันเนื่องมาจากมีเหตุขัดข้องทางเทคนิคในการนำส่ง อย่างไรก็ตาม THEOS-2A ได้พิสูจน์ให้เห็นถึงความสำเร็จด้านการสร้างความพร้อมของกำลังคนในการพัฒนาดาวเทียมของไทย โดย GISTDA และทีมวิศวกร จะยังคงมุ่งมั่นที่จะนำองค์ความรู้ที่ได้จากการสร้างดาวเทียม THEOS-2A มาพัฒนาดาวเทียมดวงใหม่ของไทย เพื่อเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถด้านเทคโนโลยีอวกาศ เพื่อใช้ในการพัฒนาประเทศในทุกมิติ ต่อไป สำนักงานพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีอวกาศและภูมิสารสนเทศ (องค์การมหาชน) 13 มกราคม 2569

@isro It isn't a failure. If satellites are in suboptimal orbits, ground controllers might attempt orbit-raising maneuvers using onboard propulsion, let's hope it works. ISRO typically recovers quickly from such incidents through rigorous reviews, as seen in past PSLV anomalies.

The PSLV-C62 mission encountered an anomaly during end of the PS3 stage. A detailed analysis has been initiated.

Some questions were not answered very clearly by NASA: - did the affected astronaut agree that return was sensible, or did they get all right-stuffy and want to soldier on? - does 'stable' mean working as normal doing regular duties on ISS, or are they on floaty bed rest?
