DMK clearly doesn’t want re-elections, and they also don’t seem to have an issue with TVK forming the government. What they desperately want is for TVK to join hands with ADMK, so they can revive their old “TVK = BJP B-team” narrative and pull back their core voters. But Thalapathy isn’t yielding to that trap. He is consistently seeking support only from the Left parties. That’s why Thalapathy is proving himself to be one of the most intelligent politicians in Tamil Nadu politics right now.

Unsolicited advice for BJP in TN. Thanks to Vijay, DMK is going to be kept away for 5 years. Don’t meddle in the govt formation. Stay a vibrant opposition outside the assembly. Prepare your cadre for the local body election. Throw your stalwarts to fight the local body polls. Go it alone. Put up candidates in every corporation ward, municipality and village panchayat. If you can’t find that many candidates, it is shame on you. Bring back Annamalai and back him fully.
