@raducrisanx I think a lot depends on how serious the injuries to Rice, Saka and Saliba are. City lost the title in the last 2 seasons due to the injury to Rodri. The fitness of key players is very significant to success. Obvious point really!

@LNobbins How do you know anything about Santos? Tielemans is a good player, and at £35m, very good value, but he is not a world class player, and Utd need world class players. Arguably they have one in Fernandes, and he is 31.

Think Tielemans is a great signing in a vacuum. Great depth now with him and Santos, but still missing the midfielder who will properly elevate them IMO.

€100m for Ayyoub Bouaddi is insane money. Whilst a breakout young star of the World Cup, he has played only 63 games for Lille, 8 for Morocco. He still hasn't scored a goal at senior level - not one! Also demonstrative of clubs like City who inflate the market & can pay huge sums of cash up front in deals because they've cooked the books to do it. It completely skews the market for everyone else. It continues to be a disgrace & stain on the sport that we are completely numb to their cheating, decades of corruption & financial doping. 1,253 days & counting while we wait for the justice.

@gemutlich111 @Swazzy15291 'Really' does not cut it as a reply. No team plays with 3 defensive midfielders. At most you would have 2 e.g., Rodri and Anderson. If we are signing Bouaddi, it is to replace Rodri. He has less than 1 year left on his contract. Obviously we have to deal with that.

@9320pod The fee for a player of 90% prospect (incredibly risky signing), the overall spending, the wage bill. Perhaps they have a solution for some of Gonzalez, Philips, Grealish, Savinho, Lewis, Kovacic, Marmoush, Reijnders etc but its not obvious what it is yet.
