@ZaraEveryDay @1ssve But that's when the tell tale signs of an avoidant started to appear, they started when we first started dating but couldn't quite put my finger on it till the second time around. Even asked her why and she couldn't tell me but the signs were there.

@ZaraEveryDay @1ssve The next they don't, I got the silent treatment from my ex we spent the weekend together like we had done previously only this time she had a week off from work and didn't reply or acknowledged my messages for 3 days to when I asked her if everything was okay she said yes

@ZaraEveryDay @1ssve At least you're going to be upfront about it, rather than the partner having to learn and find out the hard way, either way it's mental torture to the partner you're being avoidant with. That and push and pull, one minute they want to see you every day/other day

@Sabimtv Sometimes people leave you out of fear and their ear over rides any emotion or feelings they had in the relationship. Sometimes deeper intimacy or deeper connection scares people as it likely may mean to them they lose their freedom or independence. Love to them is a cage

@riftgirl_ @Solyricon Mine breadcrumbed me then she dropped the "we're not compatible" after months of dating and enjoying everything we did together to then try deny she had the characteristics of an avoidant. Nothing more mentally damaging than those two put together.

Genuinely, how do you move on from someone you never even dated, but somehow got deeply attached to? You still like him, but he doesn’t feel the same and has made it clear he wants nothing to do with you. :)

@ZaraEveryDay @1ssve I think most avoidants won't admit they are a avoidant instead they'll let their on/off parnter suffer in silence.

@disappear30 Towards the end of 2025 and the start of this years, just spent the last 2 weeks focusing on myself and no one else because the energy hasn't been reciprocated.

@GoodGirlNaomi @Broken_Dreamszz When you're putting in all the energy and showing you care and its not getting reciprocated then you know it's time to walk away, I've experienced it and it's mentally draining currently on the recovery side of it now, it's definitely a lesson learnt.
