@Nebraskero @blakealbers Just like any commodity it will dip below the cost of production again for certain. Unfortunately I’m not smart enough to know when.

The “this time is different” narrative is becoming more compelling by the month. CattleFax has said 5-weight calves won’t sell with a 2-handle again. $315 is the new floor (to be taken with a grain of salt).

Hard to believe last fall it was so wet we were pushing rod posts in without a hammer.

I like where your head is at. Would it be a custom planting crew of people that travel from south to north (like harvesters)? Gotta run that planter for more than a few weeks. I like the agronomy but think most farmers would throw in the towel if it didn’t involve equipment ops

At what point does row cropping go the route of small-mid sized construction @SawyerWhisler, and only own the equipment that operates everyday and rent the rest when you need it or hire a custom operator. Allowing capital to be freed up and allocated to non depreciating assets or becoming a much more adaptable model.
