Let me get this straight? England plays 47 mins with 10 men at a hostile Azteca and wins in regular time. Argentina plays AGAINST 10 men needing extra time to survive, but they're better?

Never forget: Argentina was never supposed to be in that group. During the World Cup draw, they were initially placed in Group I, not Group J. Then, right in the middle of the live worldwide broadcast, it was changed without any clear explanation. People are still expected to pretend nothing happened.

@tygarii You’re retarded. Messi is washed as hell and needs the ref to hold his hand every second of the match. And everyone on England is significantly better than everyone else on Argentina. It’s not even close

If you're familiar with the World Cup, you'd recognize with the dominance that comes with every World Cup winning side. In 2002, Brazil had superstars like Ronald0, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Juninho and many other superstars in their prime. In 2006, Italy was so dominant both in club and international football. The Serie A was one of the best leagues at the time if not the best. And that squad produced some of the greatest defenders ever in the game like Maldini, Canavaro, Nesta and many other superstars. In 2010, Spain dominated football so much that they were seen as the greatest international team to ever exist. During that time, Barcelona were a dominant force in club football and since the Spanish national team constituted of mostly Barcelona players, the dominance translated. In 2014, Germany played like a typical prime Bayern Munich side. They were so ruthless. We saw players like Muller, Kross, Ozil, Neuer, Lahn and many other legendary players in their prime. That 7-1 victory over Brazil tells the whole story in a nutshell. In 2018, that French team looked inevitable. We had a young dangerous Kylian Mbappe, Varane, Griezmann, Pogba and Kante in their prime and superstars all over the place. In 2022, this whole pattern noticeably changed. An Argentinian side with average players won the World Cup. Only players like Messi and Di Maria were proven World class players at the time. We're talking about a 35 year old Messi. In as much as the team wasn't weak, they were so average compared to other World Cup winning sides. It also wasn't helped by the fact that Argentina recorded the most penalties ever in a single World Cup tournament by any nation ever throughout the 96 years history. This is just a harmless observation by a passionate football lover.

I agree that England will be Argentina’s best opponent this tournament — but let’s not be getting high on our own supply here. England hasn’t exactly played world-beaters off the park, yeah? As of the rankings at the start of this World Cup, Argentina’s played more highly ranked scrubs than England has — and beat them all, with more goals. A 0-0 draw against bloody 73rd Ghana? Getting away with one after trailing to 46th Congo? Oh yeah, but it’s a foregone conclusion that the greatest player in history is gonna be blown off the park by Madueke and Spence…🤦🏻‍♂️

I just realized Argentina have scored more goals than France with an attack of Mbappe, Olise, Dembele and Doue. That's an incredible stat to be honest. Then I realized that Argentina has been playing Jordan, Algeria, Austria, Egypt, Switzerland and Cape Verde. While France on the other hand have played teams like Norway, Morocco, Senegal, Sweden and Paraguay. Argentina somehow got the easiest fixture out of every big team. What an incredible coincidence. Let's see how they cope against their toughest opponents yet, England.

Goals scored in this World Cup so far Spain 🇪🇸 - 11 goals England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 - 13 goals France 🇫🇷 - 16 goals Argentina 🇦🇷 - 17 goals But guess who they say is struggling, Argentina. You can own the PR, but Argentina with Messi will silence you on the pitch.
