@dwarkesh_sp These people who "conquered Europe" were Europeans who originated in Europe, specifically the region of the Pontic steppe in Ukraine. Most of their DNA was from Eastern European hunter gatherers and their closest relatives today are Northern Europeans.

oh wow!

Abdul El-Sayed: “AIPAC and Israel are not the same as Judaism and the Jewish people. I love Judaism and I love the Jewish people. The single most dangerous thing they’ve tried to tell us is somehow they can extend the definition of antisemitism to include a foreign government and its leaders. I call bullshit”

Does the Armenian ethnostate have a right to exist?

Why does Nolan look older than Thragg despite being younger than him by thousands of years?

The Church recognized that the Jews of its time, the European Jews, are the descendants of the Israelites and not only did it recognize it, it made theological points based on that assumption. In modern discourse you see, especially online, you see a lot of people who fall into like the Khazar theory or treat Ashkenazi Jews as just Europeans, or treat Judaism as just a religion and not a people. All of that that is usually connected, in one form or another, to antisemitism. It really undermines all of these points that these fathers and doctors and the Church herself have been saying for centuries. If you view the Jews not as a people, if you view it as just a religion, you’re really undermining some very important points that were made throughout Christian history. -@YardenJZ Catch this conversation in context: youtube.com/watch?v=ru34WC…
